So they’ve already put up the Christmas lights at the local shopping center right and one part of the display are these big festive phrases hung between the buildings; y’know standard stuff like “Believe” and “Wish”-- and for whatever reason, “Ding dong”. But the thing is if you stand on one side of the road half of it is blocked from view so it just looks like someone decided to write “DONG” in massive fuck-off glowing letters and hang it in the middle of the high street and tbh it’s the closest thing to a Christmas miracle I’ve ever seen

Okay first off I loved that when I searched you you popped up with a Zuko icon. +100 points already, I love him.

So I watched Desire, Serial Killer, Yayo, Greedy, and Black Sea to get a feel for your most recent editing. Overall I think you have a lot of amazing editing potential; really all you need is to refine some minor skills like camera motion and maybe adding motion blur on your spins and 3D scene zooms. And you use Vegas omg! You almost tricked me into thinking you used AE for Greedy, man you gotta teach me. And my god you mask so much, you’re amazing!

In your manga editing, I think I would suggest animating more (I know I know it’s a lot of work at times but it really pays off, even if it’s just small movements of hair or a coat blowing in the wind). Also something I noticed was your blinking animation- blinks move both the upper and lower eyelids so if you just animated the lower eyelid as well you’d be golden! :D Also in Black Sea there were a few Ferids that were a little too bright and you lose the manga detail in the glow, but that could just be me being picky xD (I love Ferid though omg I was happy to see so much Ferid)

In your clip editing I think you would benefit working with different keyframe types (fast & slow instead of linear/smooth- sorry if you are using fast & slow it just doesn’t look like it to me). I think your jump cuts are pretty well timed, I like them! In Greedy there were a few times where the text was a bit hard to read because it was so skinny and on a black background but that could also just be me being picky.

I wasn’t a huge fan of Yayo just because of the small screen. I know you were going for an old tape aesthetic but maybe if the area of the clips were a bit larger it would be easier to see. Your jump cuts were very on time though!

I’m only one person so you can totally disagree with any of this!!! I’m not a professional or anything. ^.^ Overall I think you’re a good editor that just needs to improve on some minor things. Everyone is able to improve even if they’re the greatest. Never stop and have fun editing! That’s the most important part.

Mods, what are your favorite studios and why?

There are so many studios I love honestly, but I think my top 3 are lawAMVs - I find their MEPs so unique and well-flowing, OtherlandStudios - they make such beautiful MEPs, and eXtraterrestrialTeam - I love their themes and the MEPs are always enjoyable to watch.

Oh gosh I’m a huuuge fan of DisparityTeam, especially their hypnotic MEP!! They all are so talented and I love them. Also LostSenseStudio because they have hella good song choices. Same with Velocity Studios. (As well as all the studios I’m in because of course I love them ❤️)

As someone who's really really admiring Jean's work;; I just wish the best for her. She inspirated me a lot of times and everytime I get a notification from her on youtube you dont know how extremely happy I get. Im not well known and when I came to talk to her for the first time she didn't mind and was really cool with me.
