I hope i never have to feel this way ever again

I think one of the loneliest feelings a bonus mom can experience is realizing that nobody really knows how much she’s carrying. People see the family photos. They see the holidays. They see the smiles. What they don’t see are the conversations that happen behind closed doors, the anxiety over situations she cannot control, or the emotional labor that goes into holding everything together. They don’t see the nights she lies awake worrying about people she loves. They don’t see how often she puts herself last. Some burdens are invisible, but that doesn’t make them any less heavy.

I never loved any of my features until I saw them on my children.
