Belize: 46 MORE POSITIVE COVID19 PATIENTS On Friday, October 16 the Ministry of Health reported that out of 180 samples 46 returned positive. They also reported 2 additional deaths, both males, one from the northern districts and one from the Belize district. The breakdown of new cases are as follows: Corozal District: 1 Orange Walk District: 25 Belize District: 13 Cayo District: 7 In a press conference held today the Prime Minister made special mention that the people of Belize must continue to abide by the preventative measures which include wearing a mask to cover your nose and mouth, and standing 6 feet apart when in public. It is the only way to decrease rate of infection.

Belize identified a new case of covid-19 from a batch of 119 samples which were tested yesterday, 16 July 2020. The person who tested positive is a woman that returned to Belize via the repatriation process. The person has been placed under quarantine at home and is not exhibiting any signs or symptoms.
