Japanese Fuzoku Guide for Curious Travelers ✨
Part 1: Let’s talk about Soapland
With the world feeling chaotic and the yen hitting record lows, a lot of people are suddenly very interested in visiting “safe, clean, and fascinating” Japan.
And let’s be honest… some of you aren’t just here for the temples and cherry blossoms. You’re curious about Japan’s unique adult entertainment scene — the world of fuzoku.
Today I’m starting a little series to explain the different types of fuzoku services and how they actually work. Because yes, it’s more complicated than it looks.
Main Types of Fuzoku in Japan:
1. Soapland
2. Hotel Health (Incall escort service)
3. Delivery Health (Deriheru, Outcall escort service)
4. Box Health (Hakoheru, Fasion health incall)
5. Fuzoku Esthe (Nuru massage service incall or outcall)
Shops also have different “concepts” on top of the format:
• Standard
• Young & fresh (18–24)
• Mature / milf (30+)
• Cosplay specialists
• Femdom / M-focused
• …and many more
It’s confusing at first, right? Even figuring out wh By the way, I’ll explain the actual reservation process in detail in a separate post later!

at each type allows is tricky, and then they add all these themes on top.
So here’s a quick, honest breakdown — starting with the most famous one:
1. Soapland 〜 The Queen of Fuzoku
If you want the closest thing to a “full girlfriend experience” in Japan, Soapland is the one.
Legally, paid sex is technically illegal in Japan. But Soaplands have mastered one of the most creative loopholes in the industry.
You pay for a luxurious “bath service.” Then… somehow… you and the beautiful lady “naturally fall in love” during your time together. Romantic, right? 😉
Because of this clever framing, Soapland is currently the only format where full penetrative service is openly available (with condom, of course).
It’s the most intimate and luxurious option — think beautiful interiors, long sessions (60–120 minutes is common), and a true “anything goes” vibe within the house rules.
This wild legal workaround has been working for decades, and it’s still going strong.
2. How to visit a Soapland – It’s surprisingly simple!
When you decide to go to a Soapland, the process is actually very straightforward.
All you need to do is:
• Make a reservation at the shop
• Show up about 10 minutes before your booked time
That’s it!
During the reservation, you can usually choose the girl you like from their lineup (photos are often available on their website). Many shops are foreigner-friendly these days, but it’s still recommended to have basic Japanese or use a translation app when calling or messaging.
