Commencement Ceremony and Team Sorting
Come one, come all; bugs near and far, young and old! Welcome to the second Pharloomblr Games!
That’s right, folks! Thanks to the incredible success of the first Pharloomblr Games, and due to popular demand, our favorite deadly show of betrayal, sacrifice and survival has returned after a long six months! This season, a new cast of 36 tributes are here to showcase their skills, fight to the death and claim the glory of being the games’ winner!
As per the previous season, these games will test our tributes’ abilities in combat, adaptability and survivability! This area is laden with all sorts of danger you can find within Pharloom’s terrain, from fiery lakes of lava to hungry writhing Sandcarvers! There is also, like the previous season, a special event that may or may not take place and can dramatically change the course of the games. Of course, danger and obstacles don’t stop at just the hostile environment; the tributes themselves can be just as dangerous to one another! With our stock of weapons from within the central arena Armory and generous donations from external contributors, there are many opportunities for alliances to break and for plenty of cold-blooded murder to occur!
Don’t forget to place your bets. Rosaries, geo, all currencies are welcome!
And now, it is time to introduce our hosts and, more importantly, the teams! Take it away, new hosts!
“Hello. Welcome, everyone! To the…Pharloomblr Games. I’m not sure what the suffix ‘-blr’ is supposed to mean, but I s’pose that’s the least of my concerns, isn’t it? My name is Adonis, a simple traveler who resides in Bellhart. And I will be one of your hosts for these games.”
“Hi, everyone! My name is Goldie! I am the second host! I do not know how to be a host, but the bug who asked me to come here said that all I have to do is sit here and talk about what is happening. It sounds easy to me!”
“It should be an easy job, yes, Goldie. But…are you sure you’re fit for this job? Not that I doubt your commentating abilities, but I’ve heard you’re rather young. These games we will be watching and commentating on are highly likely to get violent.”
“Well, I have gotten hurt a lot and seen lots of scary things! I do not think I am gonna get too scared…I hope. I will try to be brave!”
“That’s good, Goldie. But remember that if it gets too much, you can leave the job to me, okay?”
“Okay, Mister Adonis! Anyway, now that we have introduced ourselves, it is time to check out the teams. We have so many bugs and so many teams!”
“Indeed we do. 36 bugs, sorted into twelve teams of three. While it is inevitable that every bug would have to fend for themselves at some point, it wouldn’t hurt to mingle a little, no? Perhaps you can form an alliance, which would be beneficial to your survival as soon as the games begin.”
“Yeah! Having friends always helps! The games will begin in a little while more, by the way, so there is lots of time to try making friends!”
