I’ve caught myself between the life I used to want and the life I want now

I look in the mirror and I don’t know who I’m looking at. I look at the actions I’ve done and I don’t like what I see.

Somewhere deep inside I was always hoping it would be like before. We’ve said so much with looks and glances that I could write a novel.

To go back and do it right doesn’t seem like I’m asking for too much

I don’t know what I’m waiting on anymore

I feel more and more empty as the days pass and I don’t even know why. It’s like I was mesmerized by an idea of something instead of the actual thing.

It’s weird being on the other side of someone messing up in a relationship. They messed up and I am left here contemplating on the dilemma of forgiving and moving forward or being a hypocrite and hurting them the way they hurt me. All I know is I don’t want to change who I am because of how cold the world can be.
