What's This Blog About?

We made this blog to help other creatures experiment with species. We've noticed not many critters have an outside space to experiment with or confirm their species. Having an outside source can help critters get a better feel for a kin, so that's what we're here for. We're also doubling our stables as a "guess my species" ask game

I went with a [ vague ] mantis for this one, if you don't mind cw: slight prey drive, nothing graphic

Moss is quite the skillful mantis- eyes keen on prey, antennae sharp and attentive. It spots a nice sized honeybee, cautious of it's movement, Moss creeps toward it, keeping its mandibles in check. Fast, it strikes, successful as ever.

Big as the trees, with claws long, and fur thick

The Hare often stalks the creak in search for bones and other items for its collection. A snap of a twig perks up their tall ears, arise they stand on their hind legs, looking from left to right, twitching its nose to better gauge who made that sound. After accessing that it was just the noise of the forest, The Hare gathers its findings and hops back to its burrow.

Once back, The Rabbit then takes a break from all that searching and plays its favorite games. The Rabbit then moves onto sorting out their findings, from crystals, to rocks, to bones and other stuff. The Hare counts out all of the items, realizing there are less bones than what she had picked up, they thumped their feet furiously. How could they forget such a thing.

I am a creature. Humans have been telling stories about me for ages.

I can be wise, a deity, a force of nature. I can be terrifying, dangerous, a creature to be slain. I can be big as a building or small as a cat. I can be everything in between.

I come in many different shapes and sizes. My body is human, but my mind isn't. Or at least it isn't entirely.

Kind of got instantly burnt out from all the submissions. While we do appreciate everyone's requests we just don't have the energy for it. We would like to continue to help everyone, however with the lack of motivation and energy we may look into other options to keep the blog running.

My kind is classified by numbered grades based on how powerful we are.

-I live in the rainforests of Indonesia

-I spend most of my time in trees and have sharp claws for climbing

-I have the unique ability to climb down trees headfirst and even hang by my back paws!

I'm endangered :(

In the wild I'm found only in Brazil :)

At 10.3 inches I'm the largest in my Family though still very small amongst my Order :)

My sharp nails make me very good at climbing, and I spend most of my time in trees! :)

I mostly eat fruit, but my second favourite food is orthopteran insects :)

I'm named after my fur colour and shape! :)

Guess My Species [ game ]

Pretzel really likes people - he often observes them, studying their movements and behaviors. He likes to chase little humans around parks, watch people on their walks, anything really, though having a troodon running and cawing at people may come off as scary

Pretzel notices someone with a nice sandwich and gets an idea. He slowly approaches them, chittering softly as to not alarm them. He tilts his head and flaps his wings, trying his best to convince the person to give him their sandwich. The person obliges, giving Pretzel the sandwich - he trills and runs off happily

He finds a group of friends putting together a puzzle in a park. He rushes over to help, startled, the people scoot back wondering what he wants. Pretzel starts putting the pieces together with his claws, huffing away fallen feathers from his arms. He shakes and tippy taps happily once he completes the puzzle - the humans are astonished and impressed that a dinosaur could solve puzzles!

Among humans and to ears I lie, hiding in wait for low tide and low guard

We come from around the world since as long as stories are divine, so, reader, what say you? Care for a dive?

Guess My Species [ game ]

Katya the collie likes to take a walk to the mall in their flowery hoodie and rose-colored glasses. Puppy quite enjoys the peacefulness of puppy's walks. If that peace is disturbed by someone, she may nip at them - best to let the gal carry on their day

You can hear the tippy taps of her little paws and she struts through her favorite stores in the mall. Katya barks over an employee to help them find the bow section. After picking out a pretty pink bow, puppy decides to breeze by a café on puppy's way home

She sniffs out her favorite spot and plops down right beneath the register, giving the cashier the biggest puppy eyes they could muster. In return, puppy is given the best sweet treat they had.

I wear warning colours, but I am not dangerous unless provoked.

I can see colours humans cannot.

I am a social creature who lives in a nest ruled by a queen!

Patrick Stump is quite a talented artist - he's been rockin' out since 2001 and continues to shine as the lead singer of Fall Out Boy

When they're not going on tours they're usually hanging out with friends or going to concerts. Patrick always to check his guitars, making sure they're all tuned properly before each show. Sometimes he hums a little tune to match the pitch. It's tedious work, though it's nothing he can't handle

in the desert i am found, though you will not often see me around;

it is entrances that i guard, to ensure that to them you do no harm;

in riddles i am known to speak, if it is passage that you seek;

a composite of cultures is my kind, known from hellas to kemet if wise is one's mind;
