This rare doll from the early 19th century demonstrates a very innovative design for its day: a wheel of legs which allow the doll to ‘walk’ when it is pushed across the floor.

The doll would have originally been costumed in a long dress to hide the leg mechanism, so only two walking feet would have shown at a time.

The "St. Dennistoun Mortuary" is a coin-operated automaton created around 1900, attributed to John Dennison, a maker of mechanical amusements based in Leeds who also operated a concession at Blackpool Tower. It’s housed in a mahogany cabinet with a glazed viewing area and shows a Greek Revival mortuary building with double doors and grieving mourners outside.

I really do miss the pre 2010s Tango Ken sculpt as I find the modified version that fits modern Ken bodies to have its features softened and the jaw line looks too different to me. It's also why I've tried to retain the neck flange on this head as I feel something is lost when it's removed.
