Alma, Mage of Light

Sat down today and decided to draw how I've been feeling. I ended up adding words but I removed them so you would be forced to wonder.

When we have everything we need or desire, when the wind is at our backs and the sun is shining, we see paradise and splendor all around us. When we are in our happy place we can feel the presence of God/the universe holding us in his embrace saying, "isn't it wonderful? I made it all for you."

When we lose everything and slip into our worst habits, thoughts, and behaviors, when the sea is rough and the sun is hidden behind the fog, we look around and see a lake of fire, suffering, and sneering faces pushing us down into the inferno with their pitchforks. We look for God/the universe and ask "why have you forsaken me?"

The wheel of fortune cannot be stopped, but you can become its axle. When you see that gain and loss only applies to things outside yourself, you can stand like the Earth in the midst of it all, stable and receptive. We are able to cherish our time in heaven and accept our time in hell.

Wherever you are on the wheel of fortune, this too shall pass.

Do you think I'm masculine? If I were, would that make me a top?

In truth what I choose to peg or be pegged by is irrelevant to the clothes I wear or how I present myself and yes, it's offensive to presume that you can figure it out without asking me.

The idea that every bottom is a skinny, hairless, limp-wristed twink, and that every top is a big, burly, hairy human unit is a harmful stereotype that conflates our sexuality with a dichotomy between "masculine" and "feminine" roles. This stereotype is not only homophobic but mysoginistic, as it assumes that women, or those in a feminine role, are inherently or generally submissive and receptive. (And vise versa)

Remember: masculine men can top or bottom, feminine men can top or bottom

And while we're at it, feminine women can top or bottom, masculine women can top or bottom

This goes for ALL queer and straight sexual experiences

It is a matter of personal preference, many people engage in both, and it has NOTHING to do with the characteristics you can perceive on the surface level of another human.
