Sophia Duleep Singh was an Indian Princess, God Daughter to Queen Victoria and a prominent member of the Suffrage movement in the U.K.
Singh fought hard for the vote Following the ‘deeds not words’ campaign, which saw her arrested numerous times. However Singh wasn’t ever behind bars long- no one wanted to force feed the Queen’s God Daughter after all.

Irena Sendler was a Polish nurse and social worker who served in the Polish Underground in German-occupied Warsaw during World War II. Thanks to her courage some 2,500 Children were saved from almost certain death.
I found out about Irena Sendler, thanks to the efforts of ‘Life in a jar: The Irena Sendler Project’ you can find out more information about her life over on their website.

Made myself a new desktop background for the new season. I love all the Autumnal colours and had to idea of two Strong Men ditching the dumbbells for conkers.
