A man suspected of assault was shot and wounded on a north Minneapolis street by an officer early Sunday while the suspect allegedly was hindering emergency responders from aiding his victim, igniting a chaotic scene of shouting and taunting bystanders who were angered by a belief that the man was handcuffed before police opened fire.

Today (November 15, 2015) another black man was murdered while in police custody.

Police claim that Jamar Clark was shot during a struggle, just multiple witness accounts say he was in handcuffs when he was shot.

What is a terf/swerf/any acronym that ends in -erf? I'm seeing it everywhere but I can't find a definition

TERFs are "trans exclusionary/exterminatory radical feminists", whose essential beliefs boil down to "trans women should not be included in feminism", which is of course rubbish. SWERFs are "sex worker exclusionary/exterminatory radical feminists" who believe sex workers should be excluded from femimism, again rubbish.Rly there's nothing radical about them.

What are your thoughts on the use of the word skoliosexual? I've found both arguments for it and against it that feel like they have merit, but I really would like to know if it's considered offensive/problematic or not. (For context, I'm doing an art project based around marginalized sexual orientations, and I'm not sure if I should include skoliosexual, if it really is that problematic)

The meaning of the root word skolio is "crooked", which is quite unpleasant. A good alternative with the same meaning is "ceterasexual", cetera meaning other or additional. -the snuggle mod

Is it possible to be demiromantic without being asexual? Or is demiromantic only an asexual identity?

Your romantic and sexual orientations don't have to align, mine don't :) Being demiromantic would put you on the aromantic spectrum but you dont have to be asexual as well, although it's possible too -the snuggle mod
