Whoever recommended to me the book daughter of the forest by Juliet Marillier and didn’t warn me about the very graphic, very much not a fade to black seen in which the main character, who is still a minor, is violently raped by two men... fuck you🖕 listen, I’m not here to debate whether or not the scene itself was necessary to be described in such detail as it was. But seriously, just because this book was released in the 90s doesn’t mean that a content warning couldn’t have been added now, especially because I was reading it on Audible. I personally found it very triggering, and it absolutely was not what I signed up for when I picked up the book to do some light reading before bedtime

It's been a long time since I've felt so disappointed in this country and its people. I don't understand how they can vote for a man who has openly admitted to killing cats for fun, a man with such a mediocre platform that he only has a three-page PDF outlining his terrible proposals. And worst of all, what shows this country hasn't learned a thing, is how they can vote for a man who proposes legalizing guns in a country with such a violent history, a country that remains violent today. We have a damned internal war that, it seems, is going to continue, because in Colombia violence seems to be glorified, and the fact that so many people voted for Abelardo is proof of that. These people don't care about this country, they don't love it, just like Abelardo never cared about this country, and I wish he had stayed in Italy instead of coming here to screw us over.

Que cosas vivir en un país cómo Colombia. La gente ve a un montón de candidatos a la presidencia y dice "saben que? Voy a votar por el abogado corrupto que ayudó a narcotraficantes y mató gatos porque grita en vez de hablar" y lo hacen porque son unos estúpidos que no miden consecuencias.
