When there’s loving in the air

The kids had themselves managed, thankfully, and Tony thanked silently whichever God made it a non-deadline week for Yearbook when he was suffering one of the worst hangovers he’d experienced that month. Grimacing slightly with sun glasses covering his red rimmed eyes, and his whole body feeling as if it were a hundred years old, Antonio crept out of the room telling the students he had to get copies.

Getting copies of course, involved holding cymbals. Getting copies involved going to the room across from him as he’d done nearly every week to the point it became habit. Getting copies involved tasting Allison’s lipstick on his lips from the night before and instantly feeling uneasy but at the same time ignoring said feelings. Stepping inside the classroom, Antonio crept in quietly, grinning seeing Allison’s back turned – her face mirroring his own. He looked every student in the eye and banged the cymbals over her head ignoring the ringing in his own ears.

“Great way to grab someone’s attention, right?” He smirked, waving at the students he knew from outside of class before looking back at Allison. He took a step closer and whispered, “Do you mind if we talk outside for a moment.”

Allison couldn’t remember the last time she’d been so hungover. College had been rather uneventful for her, and she definitely wasn’t prepared for the massive amount of alcohol they’d consumed the previous night. She wanting desperately for the day to finish already. Her mind kept drifting back to the previous night and refused to leave. Maybe if she avoided the situation entirely, Antonio wouldn’t speak of it. After all, she’d rather dismiss her feelings entirely than potentially embarrass herself.

Her body practically begged for sleep, but she refused to allow herself to. Allison’s eyes grew heavy as Lion King blared across the room. When she finally allowed herself to close her eyes, Antonio was already in the room. She grimaced at the noise of the cymbals, and brief laughter erupted in the classroom. She turned to see the culprit, despite already having her suspicions. She pulled her sunglasses off reluctantly, grateful that the lights were off. “You did this to me,” she mumbled, her tone amusing. Allison glared at Antonio endlessly, fearing she might murder him in her current state.
