You could really get by without knowing much about Dani Dennison. She was a simple girl, she didn’t like to complicate things, she wasn’t out there trying to dig into anyone’s deep dark secrets, and she didn’t believe in secrets for herself at all - but if you were to learn one thing, one crucial detail that might make or break it all, it was that Dani Dennison hated maps.
She turned the paper this way and that, looking for the street Allison lived on. It was important, but not so crucial that she found her quickly to deliver her message, but she also planned on sleeping on the woman’s couch so… priorities. She flipped the top down, eyes scanning the street for anyone that looked like they had more skill with maps than she did - and honestly, she was rich with choice.
Finally choosing a person, based on no other reason than that they were the closest to her, she jogged over. “Hey! You up for helping out a poor, lost, sad little girl find her way?”
Ever since the incident with the Sanderson sisters Allison lived cautiously. Though as the years dragged on the threat seemed to diminish over time. Soon instead of her fears of witches invading again they became more mundane, more normal. Like leaving her curling iron when she left for work, or her father finding out Wesley came back into town. Thing s like that. She became accustomed to the routine.
Walking home from work Allison made her way towards her apartment. She didn’t mind the walk, especially since the day didn’t seem as dreadfully cold as usual. Looking at her phone for any updates from Wes she became engulfed and stopped dead in her tracks. Someone coming towards her from her peripheral vision she lifted her head to look at the stranger. “Of course, where ya’ headed--” Allison paused, her eyes scanning over the stranger. The features familiar, but grown. The face of someone she loved dearly. “Oh my god. little Dani Dennison? Well, perhaps not so little anymore. What are you doing here?” A smile consumed Allison’s face as she pulled the girl close into a hug. She couldn’t remember the last time she saw Dani, but knew it had been too long. She had always hoped they stayed in contact even after her breakup from her brother Max. They had spent enough time together to be their own family--especially from the trauma they had experience together. Nevertheless wherever Dani went apart of Allison’s heart went with her.
