"I donât know.", she confessed. "No offence, but you donât seem like the girl that watches stupid movies or would keep me company while studying." Lydia shrugged, walking towards the kitchen. An uncorked bottle of red wine caught her eye, making her stop in her tracks.
"You know what we should do? Drink wine. My mother says it helps." She closed her fingers around the dark green glass, inhaling the heady scent. "I wouldnât have gone to school tomorrow anyway.", she said quietly to herself. Her grades were fine and she was just so tired and at unease.
Cora followed Lydia and stopped short when she did, wondering why. Though she didn't have to wait long. The answer came a minute later. Werewolves couldn't get drunk, but that didn't mean Cora couldn't part take. Especially if it would help get rid of the doom and gloom haunting Lydia's every step. "We can drink wine," she shrugged. "And I'll watch a stupid movie, but I'll probably make comments."
At the mention of not going to school the next day, a pang of worry shot through Cora's chest. Before, when ever something had happened Lydia was always in school the next day. She didn't miss school. Was this really so much worse? How could no one in the pack react? "Skipping school sounds good to me," she said, the corner of her mouth twitching up in a smile.Â
