How often we fight the Qadr of Allāh, not realizing that we are fighting a part of us that's linked to the decree. Don't fight so much. Embrace and soar with the knowledge that Allāh will protect you and He wants good for you.

وَيَشْفِ صُدُورَ قَوْمٍ مُّؤْمِنِينَ

… and He will soothe the hearts of those who believe.

Pour your emotions into that recitation. Let your tears blot the words. Let your ears hear the recitation so loud that it penetrates the anguish surrounding your heart and encases it, balms it, soothes it, relieves it, and grounds it.

Shatter with the Quran. It will not mean injustice or oppression or police brutality or your overwhelming heartaches will be miraculously lifted immediately.

But it’s a rope that grounds you in knowing you aren’t alone.

Let its recitation mend you back together so you can stand up, God willing, yet another day.
