Islam is the religion of Muslims, just as those who practice Christianity are called Christians. Islam comes from Arabic word โsalaamโ which means peace. Therefore, Islam means peace acquired in submissive to the will of Allah (God). Islam is named after the action of being submissive to the will of Allah (God) only and nothing else. Other religions are often named after a person or people. For instance, Christianity is named after Jesus Christ (peace be upon him), Judaism is named after the tribe of Judah, and Buddhism is named after Buddha. Islam is not named after Muhammad because Islam existed before him. All the Messengers who were sent by Allah including Jesus (peace be upon him) were all Muslims. This is because they were all submissive to the will of God (Allah). Hence, the message of Islam did not start with the Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him). It started with Adam and continued until today. With the passing of time, God would send new Prophets and Messengers to remind mankind of His message, to worship Him alone. Mohammed (peace be upon him) is the last and final of these Prophets and Messengers.
Islam is based on five pillars. These pillars can also be traced from the Bible.
-- Bearing witness; this means the declaring your faith that there is nothing worthy of worship except Allah (God), in Deuteronomy 6:4-5 says โHear O Israel: The Lord our God is one God. And thou shall love the Lord thy God with thou heart, all thy soul, and all thy mightโ. We cannot joke with these statements they are among then the Ten Commandments given to Prophet Moses (peace be upon him). Also, Deuteronomy 13:1-3 says โIf a prophet or a dreamer of dreams arises among you and gives you a sign or a wonder, and the sign or wonder that he tells you comes to pass, and if he says, โLet us go after other gods,โ which you have not known, โand let us serve them, โyou shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams. For the LORD your God is testing you, to know whether you love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soulโ. Jesus also confirmed this when he was asked one of the scribes according to Mark 12:28-29, โAnd one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all? And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandmentโ.
--Salat; this is the normal Muslim prayers. It normally consists of standing, bowing and prostrating. Genesis 17:3, โAbram fell on his face, and God talking to him sayingโ. Nehemiah 8:6 โThen Ezra blessed the LORD the great God. And all the people answered, โAmen, Amen!โ while lifting up their hands; then they bowed low and worshiped the LORD with their faces to the ground with him, sayingโ, Matthew 26:39 โAnd He went a little beyond them, and fell on His face and prayed, saying, โMy Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; yet not as I will, but as You willโ.
--Zakah; this is the charity given to the needy orb the poor. It is written in Hebrews 10:24 that, โAnd let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deedsโ.
--Fasting (Ramadan); According to Matthew 4:2, Jesus fasted for forty days and forty nights.
--Hajj; this is the annual pilgrimage to Makah by Muslims all over the world. It is only compulsory for those who have the means. Psalm 84:5-6, โBlessed are those whose strength is in you, whose hearts are set on pilgrimage. As they pass through the Valley of Baca, they make it a place of springs; the autumn rains also cover it with poolsโ

PROPHECY OF MOHAMMED (PBUH) IN THE BIBLE
NOTE: According to the Islam, Muslims should believe in all the prophets sent by Allah among the prophet are Adam, Noah, Jacob, Moses, Jesus, Mohammed (Quran 3:84). No Muslim is a complete Muslim if he does not believe in Jesus (peace be upon him).
REASONS WHY I SAID JESUS WAS A MUSLIM
- Jesus preached oneness of Allah, monotheism (Mark 12:29)
- Jesus believed that he was a Messenger of Allah (John 17:3, John 7:28, John 8:42)
- Jesus surrendered his will to Allah (Mark3:31, Matthew 7:21)
- Jesus was circumcised (Luke 2:21)
- Jesus never ate pork (Leviticus 11:7)
- Jesus denied Trinity (John 17:3
- Jesus worshipped with his face on the ground as Muslim do (Matthew 26:39) and he taught his followers to do the same.
- Jesus believed that miracles were from Allah (John 5:30, Acts 2:22)
- Jesus used to greet with peace thus Assalamu Alaikum (Peace be unto you). (Luke 10:5, John 20:19)
In conclusion, it is written in John 8:32, โThen you will know the truth and the truth shall set you freeโ. This tells us to read and continue to search for the truth so that we can worship God in a rightful manner and in the end Paradise will be our abode.
