we always talk about how max was mistreated during his rookie years, but let this vile circle go on. the amount of truly cruel things that i’ve seen about kimi during these past few months is disturbing. and while we can argue if he was not or was ready for the f1 seat (which was toto’s decision, and we have the full right to criticize it), there is absolute clarity that kimi is constantly catching strays for being “overhyped,” “undeserving,” “inexperienced.”

this is his first year. he’s been put in the top team, the “replacement of the seven-time world champion.” it’s a huge amount of pressure. being a rookie alone is stressful enough, but when ppl constantly call you “new verstappen” and expect you to perform miracles, it’s hella job to stay sane and focused at such a young age. and kimi goes great—he outperformed george on multiple occasions, got two podiums, one sprint pole! he tries so hard but is constantly faced with a backlash.

all of the rookies have crashed and been penalized thus far. gabi alone crashed twice this weekend, franco once—in a sprint. ollie holds 9 penalty points, liam is at 7. isack infamously crashed during the formation lap in australia, his first ever race. franco crashed multiple times last year in williams, liam crashed in his first race for the red bull, and the list goes on, and on, and on. max himself was called crashtappen for the same reason.

Charles was upset on the radio bc he ran into Max during his quali lap and in the heat of the moment compared it to Singapore. Immediately post quali those two were talking and according to Charles Max explained that (unlike not Oscar) this wasn’t on purpose, Max was just racing to catch the flag and get another lap in and they’re good. Case closed. Yapping all press conference.

Meanwhile George created that whole situation in Qatar in the first place - they were literally all on slow laps, he was told on the radio Max was there, there was no need to go that fast - and then played it cool in the media only to do an 180 infront of the stewards. Max called him out for it and in response he prepared a whole monologue to paint Max as a bully and murderer.

Before that situation I’m honestly not sure that Max even registered George most of the time while Charles will always be someone he considers a rival and even said something as profound as “I knew that if I would make it to F1 then Charles would also make it.”

There is no comparison!
