I’m at a Benjamin Moore dealer and this one doesn’t charge for samples so I’m like okay give me four of them lol I came in for 2-3 but since I’m here! Even just that means I’m coming back here for the rest of the colors because it was getting so expensive at Sherwin Williams. I’ve literally spent $100 so far on just paint samples

I had a cafe con leche at 2 pm because I was FUCKING HIGH and now I’m wide awake UGH
So I was basically high all day off of this new prescription so I called my doctor and the lady who answered the phone laughed at me like, a lot. At that time I could understand why it was funny because I called and I WAS CRYING and I was basically like “I started this new prescription and now I feel so high and I can’t get anything done and I’m so out of it. What should I do???” but now that I’m not high anymore I’m like what the fuck it’s so messed up that she laughed at me
So far I’ve gotten all of my paint samples from Sherwin Williams and they’ve matched 100% to what the paint chip looked like.
Today I went to get a Benjamin Moore sample but they don’t have their own stores so I had to go to an Ace Hardware. I was weary about that because my realtor told me these places that don’t specialize in paint (like Home Depot and Lowe’s too) don’t calibrate their machines very well so it can be very inconsistent, especially if you need to match a color you got a while ago and even though they have the code it’ll look completely different.
And he was right. I had this chip on the wall for a day and I was like okay, I think it’s gonna be perfect. But then I actually painted it and I was like omg I hate it. It looks sort of blue. And it gave masculine vibes. And after a few hours of staring at it and hating it I decided to hold up the chip to the dried paint and I was like omg that’s a completely different color!!!!!
So right now I have some paint drying on the paint chip itself. Idk if I’m going to go back to ace hardware and ask them for a new sample or if I’ll just take it to Sherwin Williams and have them scan the chip and match it. Maybe I’ll do both, idk. I’ll probably do both.
If this color doesn’t work out idk what I’m gonna do lol. This is already my third purple sample and I’m losing my mind. I’m SO CLOSE to finding the perfect one.

The problem with picking paint colors is that there are so many pretty colors I love and I would buy those colors of clothing, furniture, accessories, decor, etc but then you put it in he wall and you’re like YUCK like literally a visceral reaction. Like I tried this green in my bedroom and it actually made me pissed off how much I hated it so I had to paint over it with my white sample. But it’s also basically the same color of a shirt I own and I love that shirt.

When we went to the conference before, we sponsored it so we got to go to the “pre workshops” or whatever so basically the conference started a day early for us. I need that to not happen this time because that would mean I would have to fly up on Monday and be stuck in workshops on Tuesday. IDEALLY what will happen is I’ll fly up Monday and go see two shows on Tuesday (if they do a Tuesday matinee) because I want to see shows before the conference because I know I’ll be dead after, but broadway takes off on Monday so if I fly up Sunday even, there won’t be anything for me to see.

Picking paint colors is actually so fucking stressful omg. I really thought I picked the perfect colors based on the swatches but then I actually put samples on the walls and they are so not what I envisioned
