Harder, better, stronger in local conflicts

I thought it would be cool to Photoshop Daft Punk into a random battlefield in #Iraq

As soon as you find yourself doing the thing you love doing, you try to give 100% of your efforts to make things happen for you. Nothing seems challenging when there’s a clear goal you have in mind. But along the line, we tend to forget that other people who have the same goal may have their roads intersecting with yours. And to me, this is quite challenging in terms of how you are going to deal with the proceedings in your favor.

Inevitably, when we try to cross a milestone and prove that we’re capable of doing all, having in mind, the glory of personal victory may blind us from seeing the ones around us. The moment when the roads collide, how are you going to avoid a potential conflict? Are you going to lend a hand? or save it to yourself? collaborate or compete? Certainly it’s a tough decision, especially when your high level of energy is combined with a great deal of emotions. 

Leadership, as controversial as this word can get, may be defined differently depending on your circumstances, but in my personal opinion, it’s nothing but giving the chance for others who find the thing they love doing to excel and shine, to build a sturdy self-esteem and a healthy environment. In other words, to put myself in other people’s shoes, may have been the most difficult thing so far, but it is possible still. 

However, you might still hear a voice inside your head saying “what about me? this is my shot, I can do it!”. Well of course, you can. You can have the glory, fame, and admiration to yourself. But what about letting it pass this time? Because in my experience, giving the floor to the others is one definition of a confident and sound leadership.

I heard a nice saying from a guy couple of days ago, he said that everything can be achieved accumulatively. Little did I know about that, or at least I knew but chose to ignore this fact because I want things to happen fast, instantly and perfectly. 

I think that part of the reason behind quitting anything is the idea of believing that this - same thing - is not doing it for us for the most part. But looking back to my actions for the course of the past decade, I still have hard times to believe I dared to challenge myself leaving things hanging for a while, thinking I have the time and forgetting that energy and interest, on the other hand, may dramatically go up or perish. 

I can say that I have been through quite a lot lately. People, things, concepts, perceived feelings and vulnerable beliefs. It would be only a drag if I didn’t make the time to reflect about them through writing.
