𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐍: Friday, January 29th. Night.
𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄: Dylan’s room.
Winnie was soaking up her pregaming with the Cheerios. She had never been invited to one of these elite meetups so it made it all more exciting, even if it meant having to befriend Zoe to get there. One person that she noted who had arrived at Dylan’s house early was Alex Nelson who she was not too fond of. It’s not like she had anything against the girl, she just hated most people, especially girls. Girls couldn’t give her what guys could give her and it was easier to manipulate guys than it was girls. That was just a fact of life. With Winnie being the newest to be a part of this escapade, she was tasked with doing Alex’s makeup. Shocker. What a let down. Standing in front of Alex, she gripped her head and sighed. “Yep, lots of work to get done,” she condescended, tapping Alex’s cheek. Pulling out some makeup, she did a good chunk of Alex’s base makeup before moving onto eyeshadow. Applying a deep copper shade to her eyes, Winnie added another comment. “You know, maybe if you like actually wore makeup like this Coach T would let you on the team,” now was that real advice? Not really, but all the Cheerios were hot and Alex looked like someone who didn’t even know how to fend for herself in the halls of McKinley. How could she ever be varsity material? “Because I’m making you look like totally hot,” a pause. “Is Milo or whatever gonna be at the party? Is that like why you wanna look cute? Because trust me, I know you’re like on JV or whatever and that’s like kinda sad, but you could do so much better than someone on the New Directions. You’re definitely at least in like baseball or soccer territory.”

Ever since her birthday party, Alex had been gearing up to start her ascension to being popular...or whatever. The plans to get extra lessons for Varsity had been in the works for a few weeks, and she had even began picking up extra open gym times to work on her tumbling. Though her junior year was winding down, it wasn’t difficult to imagine that senior year would be here before she knew it. Ashley Nelson had been on her ass to wear more makeup and even suggested a few youtube videos to watch to learn how to apply it. Her skills were still nowhere near where the others were. Alex was familiar with inadequacy, but it felt different to finally be taking a stand against it. As Winnie sat in front of her, Alex could feel her heart racing in her chest. The girl oozed confidence and allure. If Alex could merge her personality onto anyone, it would be Winnie. “I mean, I’ve been practicing. It just takes so much time. Like, why can’t there be a really quick way to look like this?” Alex sighed heavily and moved her face so it was easier for Winnie to apply the makeup. Ashley had requested many meetings with Coach T to discuss Alex’s performance on the team, each time Coach remarked that she would have to go through some drastic changes if she wanted to be on varsity. While the truth only stung slightly, it always reminded Alex that if she really wanted it, she could maybe do it. “Miles,” she corrected with a bite to her tone. “I mean, yeah, but I’m also just trying to put on a good appearance, show that I’m trying or something,” her remarks were barely passable for truth. Ever since she had given her phone number to Miles, she had tried that much harder to look like someone he would take on a date, someone he might actually wanna be with. Smiling at Winnie’s comment, Alex couldn’t help but feel a little bit better. “Ya know, I actually appreciate that. There are some majorly hot soccer players.”
