“God’s temple in heaven was opened, and the ark of his covenant could be seen in the temple. A great sign appeared in the sky, a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars.” (Revelation 11:19-12:1) 👑 Today is the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, when we remember Mary, the mother of Jesus, who was taken body and soul into heaven at the end of her earthly life. On this Holy Day of Obligation, we recognize Mary’s unique role in God’s plan and her ultimate glorification. 💙
