Sadie couldn't help but return the other's infectious grin, perking up slightly as another round of shots were ordered for the two of them. The witch wasn't stupid - she could sense the vampirism running through the other woman's undead veins from a mile away, but she didn't feel as though she were in any danger. Especially not in a crowded bar like the one they were in. "What's your name, beautiful?" She asked, tracing her finger around the rim of one of the shot glasses.

"Are you sure?" he parrots back in a nasally tone, "No, Lexi. I've only spent the last couple months being told how and when to do everything, short of brushing my teeth. The idea I would keep doing crap I've been told to do is way out of left field." He really doesn't deserve how patient she's being with him, and he knows that, but still. Pushing the envelope is kind of his thing. "If I had known that was the plan I wouldn't have gone. Or tried not to, or. Doesn't matter. I don't want to talk about it anymore."

💋 ─ ⋅☆⋅ ─ compulsion. damon was compelled, and he couldn't do anything to stop it. lexi had spent centuries not even knowing vampires could be compelled.

💋 ─ ⋅☆⋅ ─ "don't worry," lexi says, hopefully taking the weight off elena's shoulders a little bit. "i'll get him to let loose," she winks at the other, bringing a playfulness to the table she knows and thrives on. "oh god, the whole nine yards," she laughs as she shakes her head. "he had it all going on, you know, the leather bomber jacket, the hero hair with that ridiculous little curl in the front, his red porsche to boot," she rolls her eyes at it but it's clear she's speaking with affection.

🩸 → stefan doesn't answer her first question - not to deny her the answer, but to allow the information she's already heard sink in. parroting himself to her would only cause more distress, more confusion, more grief. his best friend continued to repeat her question, and this time he reaches us to move the sleeve of his shirt up toward his tender shoulder to show the blood stained bandages before the agony led to him releasing the sleeve to relax the fabric around the raw area.

💋 ─ ⋅☆⋅ ─ seeing the festering wound on stefan's shoulder causes her to gasp quietly, but it also sets her into a caring motion that comes so naturally to her. "oh my god," she whispers softly, reaching out as if to touch his skin but making sure to stay far away from the infected area. realizing in how much pain he is, she then shakes her head but begins walking both of them back to the closest couch. "sit down," she orders, waiting for him to oblige and sitting down close next to him.

Yeah, yeah. Saint Stefan. Give him a break. Which, technically she is, but not the way he wants. Damon moves to the bar table, forgoing the glass to take the full decanter to the sofa. He narrows his eyes at her over the lip of the bottle, sighing hard through his nose. "Yeah, you got me. That was my master plan to make new friends."

💋 ─ ⋅☆⋅ ─ if lexi has any more self-respect, she would've given up on damon a long time ago, but she has a habit of trying to fix the people around her, and it's a convenient excuse that he's stefan's brother. she keeps seeing the potential in damon, and even though it's disappointing to see him - in her eyes - fail over and over again (he did try to kill her), she's still here, standing in front of him and rolling her eyes.

💋 ─ ⋅☆⋅ ─ lexi always prefers sitting at the bar, it makes eye contact with the bartender much easier and it usually gives her a nice overview of the venue. today is no different, and she pours back another shot before she turns to face the voice. "all yours," she says with a grin, chuckling at the double entendre that only she hears in the bite to eat. "ah – but you just made the best decision of the night sitting down next to me," she promises, then flags the bartender down and orders another shot for them both to prove her point.

💋 ─ ⋅☆⋅ ─ they share a look, and lexi thinks that single look might just say more than she could ever say out loud – but then elena keeps going, and the moment is over, and admittedly, lexi is glad for the change of topic. she doesn't know elena that well, and she can only try to be here for the girl who's suffered too great a loss already, but ... she's always been better at the distraction.

Boring. He was hoping she'd swing first. Not that he thought she would, but a real excuse would be nice to bank off of. The absolute last thing he wants to do right now is try to face where he stands with Elena, so he'll see how far he can push that part away from the conversation. "I told her to turn around," he offers thoughtfully, because that part is true. He did try. Jeremy Gilbert is just a pathetically slow runner. Also, "She's not a good listener."
