I decided to restore a few of the many double hung windows in my barn, and one of the biggest problems was pulleys that had frozen shut with many decades of rust. Fortunately a little science (vinegar bath and baking soda) along with some elbow grease got them looking and working like new. Even the maker's stamp is visible again. (at Pemaquid Mercantile)
