Sleep was not something Ophie did very often. Mostly because being that helpless to his subconscious made for a terrifying experience. Because every image he attempted to block would just reappear. As if he'd never banished it in the first place. So passing out from exhaustion as he had done...not good.
Physically he was comfortable enough. Though his head continued to throb. He'd given up trying to make sense of things. There were too many visions all mixing together. Too many possibly outcomes. Moving pieces. So as images of mass destruction, blood, zombies, death, mangled bodies, all those things nightmares are made of assaulted him over and over again, he gave up. Just gave up.
After a while he did open his eyes. His surroundings were not familiar to him. But that didn't seem strange. His entire life had literally gone up in smoke. So, he'd have to be somewhere different. But as his eyes met Alexander's that reminder hit him all over again.
He grimaced as he struggled up into a seated position, rubbing his face with his hands. He almost asked about Zander and Ivy. But if he was here with Alexander. They had to be okay. He wouldn't have just left them alone. At the other warlock's statement about sleep, Ophie almost cracked a smile.
Taking a few deep, centering breaths. He finally turned his attention to Alexander. "We've got a necromancer problem." He commented with a wince. "Having more than one in any given space is a bad idea. You should probably mention that to Magnus."
Alexander shrugged his shoulders a bit. "I'm afraid that Magnus seems to be a lot more in the loop than the rest of us on that score... although perhaps not quite how many there are. But I can tell him if you really think he doesn't know." He paused, biting back a sort of smile. "Rowan texted to say that Magnus spent most of the night yelling about the whole thing. But that he'd also looped in Kyle and his office to see what they can do about Chance and this agreement. Apparently Magnus agreed to return him to the pier today."
He sighed then, moving forward to where his arms rested on his knees as he looked at Ophie. "Zander and Ivy should be here soon. I'm sure they'll want to see you... but if you need me to make excuses, I can." Alexander then nodded towards the bedside table. "Oh, and Zander mentioned that you might need the headache powder to Rowan, so I had Emery go out to grab some from Jonna."
