one thing i will always appreciate twst for doing is making sure we, the viewer, see the tweels as seperate individuals rather than a set pair. like, i feel like twst goes out of its way specifically to seperate floyd and jade as much as possible.

obviously, them being twins isn't completely brushed off. but that fact is never THE focus of either floyd or jade. it's just another interesting dynamic that informs their relationships and how they perceive each other and the people around them, their upbringing, their personalities.

most of the time (and this could just be a me thing), i feel like twst goes out of its way to make sure we see them as unique people. they're so different and interesting in their own ways and they deserve to be seen that way too

#al rambles #idk #i recall back when i first got into the fandom seeing a lot of #“you can't have one without the other” rhetoric #and while duhh if you're friends with one you're obviously gonna meet the other eventually cause they're family #i feel like it's unfair to exclusively pair them together #or to imply that the tweels' appeal is that they ARE twins and they ARE a set #when personally i think that's not true!#the appeal of floyd vs the appeal of jade is so very different #especially when twst goes out of their way to break out of that “inseperable twins” gimmick #obviously it's personal perception #but these days im less inclined to believe someone is a fake jade/floyd fan just because they don't quite like the other twin as much #you can love jade and hate floyd and vice versa. and that's fair enough in my book

i said a few days ago i would post pictures if i went out to get cake but uhhh i didn't get cake (i admittedly got too sleep deprived to stomach a lot of food), i went to jjj and scored myself some badges and keychains!!

jjj is a cheap thrift store and the pins and keychains are all thrown into a bargain bin style thing, so my new jade acrylic keychain-standee does not have a stand. oops
