Summary: Master Robinavitch of the Coruscant Temple has everything he needs - mentorship, students of his own, a relationship with the Force that sustains him and an occasional, if much-missed, partner - but when the galaxy starts to fall apart, will that be enough?
Excerpt: Robby has enough about him to recognize, at least, the familiar draw and pull of Jack's Force presence; it, too, is sputtering, but Robby knows every inflection and shade and movement of it, and so he knows, when he quietly palms the panel he finds on the wall, that he is at the right room. The door opens smoothly and Robby pauses on the threshold with his foot in the air as he stops mid-stride - because Jack is not alone. Senator Al-Hashimi looks smaller, now, in the low bunk than she had when speaking to Robby earlier. She has paled visibly even in the shadows of the dark room, and her hands, clasped up to her chest in sleep, are shaking. The ragged state of his faculties notwithstanding, Robby can see immediately that she is in pain. Jack is curved around her back, every inch of him pressing comfort into every possible inch of her, the backs of those shaking hands folded up within his palms, face buried into her nape. They are both fully clothed and completely dead to the world, and yet Robby is not sure he has ever witnessed anything more intimate. Robby lowers his foot and carefully retreats - one step, two, three, until the door closes again of its own accord. He doesn't know how he makes it back to his own bunk; only that the galaxy has once again tilted on its axis without his permission, sending him quietly reeling.
