Alright I'm in an airport with nothing better to do so more random vigilante au things
-the dromos are incredibly helpful in designing henchmen (i've got a couple of sketches hehe), especially because they're so copy paste? and I'm working with the idea of mass producing them, I think they're going to be some sort of robot type things? Tech in the au is about as advanced as it is in the modern world, but I like the idea of having someone that has the power to either create or duplicate dromos---maybe there's a variation in high and low-content ones? the more that are made, the more brittle they get?
-there are "dromos" that are actual people. I'm figuring out a ranking system and uniform distinctions, which will be helpful whenever I draw comic form.
Main Character housekeeping things:
-kaya and yoon get along right off the bat in school, not so much on the field? I like the idea of there being some conflict between them and allowing their friendship to grow. (likely first arc material)
-Yoon is not a pacifist the way that Il is considered a cowardly king. Yoon will never hit first, but he'll take up self-defense. This will be interesting to flesh out, figure out where he draws a line, and how he fares in an active battle. He's got lots of self-preservation, I think I like sticking with that side of his canon character.
-I think Kaya is really cautious about the way she does things, but she can get reckless. She's good at not panicking, and thinking quickly, I just think she sometimes has trouple keeping her thoughts straight? She gets overwhelmed but is capable of performing well, I think she doubts herself alot though. She's very reasonable, just not very sure of herself when she should be.
-I think Yona is confident in her ability, but well-aware of how much she needs to grow. Which frustrates her.
-I'm definitely giving them part time jobs, comes into play euther pre or post recruitment arc. Yoon goes out at somepoint to try and figure out who some people's identities are, specifically jae-ha.
-I want Kayazeno to work in a very specific way. If I want that dynamic, I need to establish a very specific type of tension. I'm trying (it's not really working) to keep the post-story trauma to a minimum, but the reason Kayazeno canon dynamic is the way it is, is because they saved each other from themselves. they're doomed romance. I need some sort of tragedy to draw a line. they find a solution eventually(? even if they don't they'll still be together), but I'm not sure how I want this "tragedy" element to work. I also like the idea that one of them already knows who the other is??? or they figure it out due to backstory things????? idk. I kind of already have this plot for hakyona (it works out a lot differently though) but it might work.
-along that line^^ considering Kaya and Zeno are aqcuainted and kaya hides it from yoon for *reasons* conflict? not in any romance-esque kind of thing, but I think kaya and zeno have maybe met in their vigilante identities before. I do think yoon would also go through a "socializing with others" and "learning to trust" arc.
-Yoon's underground clinic only came about because minsoo started it. He stopped for unknown reasons, and Yoon has taken it over without his knowledge. Iksoo knows because foresight, but keeps his mouth shut for yoon's sake.
-kaya and yoon meet-cute/rivals to friends
-yoon bringing back the clinic
-all the backstories (likely incorporated throughout but they are kinda subplots/mini arcs)
-figuring out where the dromos are coming from/why arc
-xing/freeing falsely (maybe not so falsley?) imprisoned kouren and five stars arc?
-kaya being adopted by geun-tae and yuno subplot
-drug arc (nadai is an enhancement drug i definitely didn't take mha inspo from this yayyyyy)
-keum-ji adjacent arc????
-also figuring out the tribes and stuff (likely in one of the arcs where they're basically fugitives,)
anyways. some things i've been mulling over. I've got a lot i'm trying to organize lol. I don't think the entire yona cast will make an appearance, so i'm trying to chose the most relevant people to each character sparingly. I still have no clear idea what I want to do with soowon, judo, and kyesook, or Il and Yuhon. it'll likely revolve around hiryuu though.
au interaction appreciated!!! answering questions and talking abt it helps me formulate more. i'm also locking in on drawing things (anatomy, expressions, composition, backgrounds, lighting, color, you know) so I can draw a preview for what I want this to look like. as of right now, goal is to have something solid to post as a celebration for yona season 2 whenever it starts airing, (yes I plan to take advantage of the fresh audience) so I should have plenty of time lmao
