9/29発売 SQ 「X Lied」vol.4 大&英知 PV
Finally we have a teaser for Dai and Eichi’s X Lied single, released a day before the Kuga twins’ birthday! Niji (rainbow) is Eichi’s solo song that Nishiyama performed at the SQP concert (which I wrote about here).
Colours that tell of the arrival of morning
Breeze that flows through the window
Brush against my cheek
Signalling the start of a new beginning
Sounds that ring out through the room
when you’re next to me
If only time would stop in this moment
One thing I know for certain
are the words that are precious to me
I water the bouquet that is your gentle light
until it blooms
The shining tears that you bring
creates miracles
beyond the rainbow far away
How about some iced tea
to wake you up?
Hama Takeshi’s lyrics are lovely, but too abstract and poetic for my brain to process, let alone translate >< Please take with a grain of salt. The lyrics are probably directed at a broader audience, but the PV displays some of the lyrics as chat messages sent from Eichi to Shu’s phone, so take that as you will :3
I’M HAVING A MELTDOWN OVER HOW ADORABLE EICHI’S PV IS!! >< It fits in perfectly with the QUELL narrative we have so far:
From the drama CD’s - Issei takes an interest in photography, starting with landscapes and gradually including night skies and people. His fondness of photographing people around him begins with Eichi, who is happy to pose for shots and has nothing but encouragement and praise for Issei’s photos.
From the Quell Radio segment in SQP - being a busy superstar means Shu’s rarely at home, so I can totally see Eichi and the twins sending him candid photos of themselves while he’s at work ;__; Shu would save every single one of them……. And of course Shu’s phone wallpaper is a photo of the family. God. Stop it.
Also, Eichi using chat stickers of Lizz squirrels in the twins’ colours? Are you kidding me? Where can i buy this sticker set!!!!????
This is the second PV from QUELL’s side of the X Lied series to have a focus on the team, following Issei’s PV for Hoshizora. And it’s a thing of beauty. Kinda makes me wish that Shu and Ichiru’s PV’s had the same treatment but ig their songs had different themes that don’t quite fit this narrative.
Oh, did I mention that it’s the twins’ birthday tomorrow? :D
