he smiles. a conversation he can get behind, thank god for hazel. she just unknowingly took his mind off of the letter, even for a moment, that was relief. âah the good ole internal debate about tatoos.â he had many, a half sleeve on his left arm. âwanna know something?â he shows her his tatoos that are visible. âwhen you have tattoos they become a part of you, you forget that theyâre there sometimes, itâs still your skin just with a drawing yâknow? itâs not gunna matter to you whether you gotta cover it up at work or not, itâll still be with you, and the ones you get in hidden spots are gunna be forgotten as much as the ones you can see every day no matter what you put on.â he winks, itâs good advice he thinks, she should just go ahead and get one. âraphael is a tattoo artist, i could set you up with him, yeah? he could do some stencils on you, so you can see what itâd look like.â him and raphi are pretty close, theyâve known each other since he was in diapers. back the paper huh? damn. things were just getting interesting. âuh, nah. itâs just an acceptance letter for a job i applied for, nothing major, i donât really wanna dwell on it.â
she studied his arm for a moment. she had seen his tattoos before, but now that she was thinking about getting one, it was interesting to see the lines and colors in his tattoos. one of the driving factors behind her wanting to get a tattoo was always seeing the tattoos on other people and going through the countless pinterest boards. she nodded her head as he talked about the tattoos and it made her smile as he talked about them. he definitely could convince her to get one with the way he spoke so passionately about them. âreally? now do you only get tattoos when you can like find significance behind getting them or get them for the art value whether they have meaning or not?â she asked, slightly tilting her head to the side. she shrugged her shoulders, âdo you think he would do it even if I didnât end up getting one? I donât want to waste his time.â she said. âwhat do you think I should get?â she asked. as he answered her question about the paper, she could tell in how little he talked about it in comparison to the tattoo that he didnât want to talk about it and she wasnât going to press the subject. âwell an acceptance should be good news so good luck with it.â she gave him a smile. âand Iâll leave it at that. unless you want to talk about it, then you can always come to me if you need to.âÂ
