Red Hood is generally not heroic i'm aware, i'm not defending any of that shit. I just think there's some cool unexplored potential with him to be a little less anti and a little more hero, while not giving up his core principles

It is my belief that there are some situations in which killing can be heroic. If you disagree that cool, it's a very personal thing. I just think it's silly to only portray one version of heroism and the human experience relating to death and killing.

the vast majority of vigilantism is in some way political violence. ignoring all the examples of the US government doing bad within dc canon and being held accountable by non-state actors, you're also just not normally allowed to hit people. so i think it's realistic that some of these actors would be willing to kill if they thought it was necessary

There is undoubtably incentive for the giant corporation that runs dc to not endorse actions that threaten the status quo where they're in power, and i just think we should be aware of that

you have to also bring up that jason is likely dealing with sex work and sex workers and prostitution. whether hes enforcing new rules on pimps, adding extra protection for sex workers, deciding when and where people can do business, and making sure children aren't involved with that either. he will have a hand in it. I rarely see people bring up the fact that jason would be involved in prostitution. and I think its because acknowledging this would kill the "ultra feminist jason todd woman protector" label fandom has placed on him.
