Surround yourself with real people. People who appreciate you for you and love you and know you outside of your career. It’s so easy to get caught up in the superficial and the unreal that you miss out on those little genuine moments. Seeking out authencity in a world of make believe is the most important. You are special for a reason. Remember that reason and stay focused on your true intentions.

Trust is a fragile thing. Once earned, it affords us tremendous freedom. But once trust is lost, it can be impossible to recover. Of course the truth is, we never know who we can trust. Those we’re closest to can betray us, and total strangers can come to our rescue. In the end, most people decide to trust only themselves. It really is the simplest way to keep from getting burned.
