Hi, can you do a request with Jason Grace and reader when the two of them are dating and just spent a whole day cuddling in bed?
hi sry for taking so long w this ! itâs js a short drabble but i hope u enjoy ittt reader is gn
tw shirtless jason, mentions of being held against will (as a joke) wc ~500
<3
you curl into jason, still half-asleep. âwhyâre you moving so much?â
you throw an arm over his chest, fingers grasping his side as he continues to move.
âstop,â you drag out your groan, twisting the sheets as you desperately claw at him to still.
âiâm late!â comes a low morning voice, muffled by a shirt pulling over its mouth.
you grumble, rolling over across the bed to grab ahold of him as he stands.
âno,â
âno iâm not late?â he shrugs off your arm and you blindly reach for him again.
âyou are late, but you canât go.â
âwhy not?â
âbecause, then iâll miss sleepy jason.â
you earn a small laugh, which you, in your sleep-deprived state, take as your sign to give up, staring at the ceiling.
the sounds of jason getting ready slowly fade to a stop, and the bed suddenly dips next to you. âi thought we were stopping me from leaving, no?â
âi gave up.â
a laugh pulls out of jason, and he sweeps your hair from your forehead.
âno reason?â
âbecause youâre not caving. you do know thatâs whatâs supposed to happen, right?â
he laughs again, and you hide your head in his hand.
âyour laugh is really pretty,â you mumble. you canât see him, but youâre sure jason is blushing.
he fidgets next to you, and you roll into his side. âarenât you late?â your lips move against his shirt, which is oddly warm.
âhm?â
âto class, youââ you open your eyes, âyou said, umâŚâ
jason is not wearing a shirt.
âi said what?â
âum, iâŚâ
you grab his side, pulling him down and pushing your face into his neck.
âyou didnât say anything. you canât go.â
he laughs gently. âreally?â
âreally.â
âokay.â
you gasp, pushing off of him to stare at him in amazement. âexcuse me?â
âi said okay.â
âare you okay?â
âwhat are you talking about?â
âwhat have you done with my boyfriend?â
a blush paints over his cheeks at the word.
ânever mind, i guess it is you.â
he pushes his shoulder into your cheek. âshut up.â
you tighten your arms into a hug around him.
âso youâll stay?â
âi will.â
he flips you onto your side, gently tucking you between his arms.
âthis is why i wake up early, you know. so i wonât get held against my will by you.â
âi seem to remember you actively stating your willingness to stay.â
âwhich i did against my will.â
you ignore him. âso does this mean youâve given me the power to,â pulling up your fingers into air quotes, âhold you against your will, whenever i want?â
he only hugs you tighter, which of course, you take as, yes.
So reader is one of the Slytherin chasers and she gets hurt on one of the Slytherin vs Gryffindor matches (maybe just a sprained wrist, or a concussion, whatever you prefer is good!) and imagine just the two captains losing their cool, its either funny or very chaotic or both, really just craving hurt and comfort
it's so funny because keke and I were talking about this dynamic not too long ago. I fiddled around with the positions etc, hope you don't mind! so glad to have you back mimi đŤś
poly!jegulus x fem!reader who plays keeper for the Slytherin team
It was very clear that Regulus was stressed. You knew he didnât like having to call you up to play.
âQuidditch players play dirty, amour. Have you seen Barty out there?â he had urged you, earning him a roll of your eyes.
âGood thing Iâm not playing against Barty then, huh?â
âYeah, but youâre playing against the players that are playing against Barty; theyâre going to go for blood.â
But this was your job as a reserve player. The Slytherin keeper had a case of mumblemumps and was currently on bedrest, meaning it was your turn to step onto the field.
Regulus had âdouble checkedâ your equipment for the sixth time before you swatted him away.
âIâm okay, Reg. Iâve played before, yeah?â
Regulus sighed and looked into your eyes imploringly. âDo not take any unnecessary risks, okay? Especially against those animals.â He muttered.
You snorted a laugh. âYou do realise weâre playing our boyfriend, yeah? The captain of those âanimalsâ?â
Regulus levelled you with a glare. âExactly.â
You opted to ignore Regulusâ worried ramblings in French and hyped yourself up for the game. Regulus had been hoping that the keeper would pull through in time for the game and was only willing to call you up a mere twenty minutes ago, meaning you hadnât been mentally prepared for this.
Perhaps more importantly, neither had James
âWHAT IN THE BUGGERING FUCK IS SHE DOING OUT HERE!?â You heard James shout as he marched over to the Slytherinâs on the pitch, earning him a warning from Madame Hooch.
âCrawley is still in the infirmary.â You explained simply as James made it to you and began fussing with your equipment and uniform in much the same way Regulus had already.
âSo what? Heâs got swollen glands and a case of the mumbles, he can play sodding quidditch.â He muttered, tightening your elbow pads to almost painful lengths.
âOkay, James, enough.â You began shoving at him, but Regulus came to your defence.
âIâve already done all that, James.â He sighed, sounding equally as disturbed about this as James did.
âI donât like it. Maybe we should forfeit?â James mused aloud, earning him a horrified outcry from Marlene and Sirius.
âLike hell weâre forfeiting just because your girlfriend is playing, Prongs!â Sirius shouted at the same time as Marlene cried âI know sheâs got a pretty face, but this is quidditch, Potter!â
âYou never get this worked up over playing against Black, Potter.â Barty goaded from behind you, earning him a dark glare from Regulus.
âThatâs because heâs busy looking for the snitch and well out of the action, Junior.â James sneered back before returning his eyes back to you. âOh, my poor girl.â
You groaned and stepped away from the boys at that. âThis is ridiculous, letâs sodding play!â
With an unnecessary amount of reluctance on his part, James stalked back off towards his team as everyone got into formation for the whistle.
The game was as fast-paced and intense as any game was against Slytherin and Gryffindor; the intense and deep-rooted rivalry causing the air to crackle with electricity.
As was predicted by anyone and everyone who knew Barty Crouch Junior, he was one lunatic of a beater, lobbing the bludgers at the opposing players with an unnecessary amount of force. The chasers on the other team seemed to be taking that in stride for the most part, save McLaggen who appeared to take each hit personally.
Any anxiety you had prior to the game melted away with the ease and familiarity of your broom beneath you and the rhythm of swatting quaffles away from your goal posts. Though James talked a big game of you being in âthe thick of itâ, keepers were the only players allowed within the vicinity of the goal posts, contributing to a certain amount of protection for those in your position.
Unfortunately, the seventh time McLaggen was hit by one of Bartyâs bludgers seemed to be the undoing of this so-far fair-played game.
In a manner that seemed to be fueled by pure rage, McLaggen managed to bypass Barty and the other Slytherin beater, and beelined it for you. You would have been impressed by his skills and quick manoeuvres on his broom but you realised too late that he had nearly made it all the way over to you.
âOi! Stay out of my zone!â You called at him, alerting the chaserâs presence to Barty.
With little more than a twist of his broom, Barty was barrelling his way towards you and aiming a bludger for McLaggen. You were slowly backing up towards your posts in an attempt to stay in position to block McLaggenâs quaffle whilst also trying to stay out of the way of his broom when he suddenly dropped altitude as soon as Bartyâs bludger left his hand.
You looked down as he smiled up at you, realising too late what that meant for you.
Suddenly, your vision went black as the bludger made impact with the crown of your head, and you tasted iron as the wind ripped violently through your hair.
You could hear shouting and swearing, suddenly aware that you no longer had your broom under you; you were freefalling.
Still without sight, you had only seconds to brace yourself before you made impact with the hard ground below you.
Your lungs were being squeezed by a large fist within your chest and your ears were ringing something fierce.
There was warmth; warmth on your head, by your ear, trailing down your neck. It felt good against the wind that had accosted you moments earlier.
There was pressure at your collar bone, and deep within your chest.
The pressure became too much.
You took a gaping breath and with that, the ringing in your ears made way for the chaos surrounding you to permeate your consciousness.
âOkay, okay. Okay, good; good job amour, keep breathing. Youâre okay, okay? Okay, youâre okay.â You heard Regulus chant, his voice taut with emotions. âBreathe amour, breathe.â
You took a few more gasping breaths and tore your eyes open, realising then that the lack of sight wasnât due to inability, but rather your bodyâs unwillingness.
âHi, hi amour. Youâre okay.â Regulus said breathlessly, his eyes scanning between the two of yours before flitting up to something above you.
Your hearing was still fuzzy but you could hear something happening out of your line of sight.
âYelling.â You choked out, coughing through the pain of having had the wind knocked out of your mere moments ago.
âWHAT THE FUCK WERE YOU THINKING, MCLAGGEN? THE KEEPER ZONES ARE OFF FUCKING LIMITS.â
âItâs okay, amour. Donât worry about that, just keep breathing for me, okay?â Regulus urged, placing a gentle hand on the juncture of your neck and shoulder causing you to wince in pain.
âMr. Potter, you need to calm down.â Madame Hooch could be heard from behind you.
âIâll do no such thing! He fucking orchestrated that! YOU LET YOUR BEATERS TAKE CARE OF OTHER BOTHERSOME BEATERS! YOUâVE BEEN PLAYING QUIDDITCH FOR SODDING YEARS, YOU KNOW WHAT JUNIOR IS LIKE.â
âOi! Get your fucking hands off of me!â
âYouâre off the team. Youâre DONE. Get the fuck out of my sight.â
You heard what sounded like McLaggen storm off towards the locker rooms as Madame Hooch let out a sigh.
âThe game is a draw, Slytherin is forced to forfeit with no keeper. Everyone off the pitch.â She droned in monotone.
âJamie.â You whimpered, your sinuses suddenly swelling painfully.
âHey! Hey babylove, Iâm here.â He said quickly, quietly, gently; his voice a dramatic change from the way heâd been speaking to his team moments ago.
âIâm okay.â You stated, though it sounded more like a question with the way your voice tilted upwards at the end.
âOf course you are, youâre such a strong girl.â He agreed readily, offering you a sad smile. You chuckled self-deprecatingly and lifted your hand to wipe your tears as they trailed into your hairline, grimacing when your hand came back bloody.
âJust a bump, yeah?â James said lightly, causing Regulus to sniffle.
âI think she hurt her collarbone too.â He whispered as if speaking any louder would cause his voice to break and the tears to fall.
âOkay, alright.â James said as Madame Pomfrey arrived with a gurney. âHead injury and possibly injured collarbone.â He relayed to the matron.Â
âThank you, Mr. Potter. Mr. Black, Iâll take over now; please step aside.â
But Regulus didnât seem able to let go.
âMr. Black.â
âCome on, Reggie. Weâll follow her up, yeah?â James tried gently, pulling at Regulusâ shoulder so that the matron could levitate you onto the gurney.Â
âWeâre right behind you, okay sweetheart?â James called after you as he held Regulus to his side, and you let unconsciousness pull at you with the knowledge that they were following you back to the castle.Â
âIâm going to fucking kill him, Pads. Iâm going to skin him alive and put his head on a spike on the Gryffindor stadium.âÂ
You heard Sirius chuckle at the sound of Jamesâ dramatics, though he never bothered to argue with his mate.Â
âHow is it that youâre such a lover boy and my brother is such a gremlin; but anything happens to her and the two of you trade personalities?â Sirius taunted. You heard a shuffle, a grunt, and then an âoi!â before the sound of Remusâ voice permeated the infirmary.
âAlright, alright. Pads, get off your brother.â
âAnd then, and then! Iâm going to mail his ear to his mother with a note saying âyou raised a fucking wankerâ.â James continued as if no one had said a word.
âY/N?â You heard Remus ask, causing the shuffling of your boyfriend and his brother, and the musings of your other boyfriend to come to a halt as they waited with bated breath for you to open your eyes.
âThere she is.â James sighed in relief as his eyes met yours, his smile only at a fraction of its usual wattage, though it was still enough to brighten up the grim infirmary.
âHi.â You croaked, wincing as your stretch was impeded by a sling on your arm.
âNo, donât.â Regulus whispered, brushing your elbow with a touch that was barely there. âMadame Pomfrey reset your collarbone, youâll be in the sling for a few weeks.â He explained.
âGives us all the more of an excuse to fuss over you, yeah?â James offered, clearly trying to keep spirits up.
Though you knew James was likely just as worked up about your injury as Regulus currently was (if not more, if his threats of murder and mutilation were anything to go off of), he was making an effort to be strong for both of your sakeâs.
âReggie, Iâm okay.â You pressed, taking Regulusâ hand in yours that wasnât currently pressed to your side.Â
âI know.â He whispered back.
âSo are you.âÂ
Regulusâ face crumpled at that and he slowly lowered his head to rest on your abdomen.
âGlad to see you up and atâem, Y/N.â Rem smiled at you as Sirius shot you a wink before patting Regulus on the shoulder and leaving the three of you some privacy.Â
âReggie, babe.â James murmured, moving to stand behind Regulus and rub at his shoulders soothingly. âYouâre going to get tears and snot all over our poor girlâs jumper.â
âSod off.â Regulus mumbled into your stomach, causing you and James to chuckle.Â
Regulusâ head popped up at that, and he looked at you shyly from red rimmed eyes behind black curls falling over his forehead.Â
âYou promise me youâre okay?â He whispered, rubbing his thumb back-and-forth over your knuckles.
You nodded and offered him a small smile.Â
Regulus sighed and sat up, rubbing at his face. âGood.â He said simply as he stood.
âIâve got a Gryffindor to kill.â
He placed a gentle kiss to your temple and stalked out of the infirmary before your horrified glance moved to James who stood passively at the end of your bed.
âJames!?â You asked, gesturing with your good arm towards the entrance.
James shook his head and waved you off. âDonât worry; Padâs and Moony are on watch out there. We knew once you woke up heâd be on a warpath.âÂ
You let out a surprised laugh as James casually took Regulusâ vacated seat beside you and picked up your good hand.
âYou sure youâre okay?â
âJust sore.â You offered with a nod.Â
âWell, I donât like that you got hurt, but I do like getting to take care of you.â He said salaciously, pressing a kiss to the back of your hand.Â
You shared a soft smile with James before you heard screeching.Â
âI need a healer!â
James brows furrowed as he turned to see 1) McLaggen holding a jumper to his face leaving a trail of blood droplets behind him and 2) Regulus, Sirius, and Remus walking back towards your bed far too nonchalantly for your liking.Â
âYou were supposed to stop him!â James shouted at Sirius as he gestured to Regulus.
Sirius smirked. âOh, we did.â
James let out a surprised scoff. âThen howâd he manage to maim McLaggen?â
âI didnât have to.â Regulus replied simply, sitting on the end of your bed and pulling your feet into his lap as he massaged them through the blankets. âBarty got to him first.â

⸠pairing: jason grace x daughter of minerva! reader
⸠summary: you donât know anything about jason anymore, except for the fact that you hate him for leaving
⸠warnings: kinda angstyâŚBUT I SWEAR THEREâS FLUFF AT THE END!! hurt / comfort type, & i think i swore like twice whoopsie
⸠notes: this might be my longest fic yet, hello? i mean, thatâs not saying much but STILL
you didnât know much about jason grace as of lately. it was true that there once was a time that even the smallest of scratches on his skin werenât a mastery to you, a time when you knew him better than you knew yourself.
until six months ago, when he disappeared without a trace and left you all alone.
as a daughter of minerva, youâd never had many friend to begin with aside from the two praetors of new rome, for your skills and intellect set you apart from your fellow members of the legion and as leader of the first cohort, you were high up in the ranks anyways.
but now, six months later, you found yourself filling the post of second praetor not because you wanted to, but because you had to. the weight of the world had fallen upon your shoulders in only a fortnight
then, percy jackson had appeared.
youâd given him the position you held graciously, but it did nothing to repair the damage done that caused you to be emotional and physically strung out beyond relief.
you didnât know much about jason grace anymore, except for the fact that you hated him, and unlike reyna, would not be welcoming him back with open arms when he arrived at camp jupiter as percy said he would.
and arrive he did, aboard a flying warship with three other demigods youâd never seen in your life.
while percy, reyna, and the rest of the legion welcomed them in with open arms, you were nowhere to be found.
jasonâs eyes scanned the crowd over and over again and each time failed to find just the face he was looking for.
ever since his memories had been returned, the son of jupiter had been driving himself crazy with anticipation to see you again.
the curve of your soft lips and spark in your eyes; the flex of you muscles as you fought and the amused quirk of your brow when you inevitably won. he remembered it all and he missed it all so much that he thought it just might suffocate him. to him, every minute without you was another minute closer to asphyxiation.
fortunately, even after six months, you were still the same girl he had always known. the same one who would tie her shoe laces with two loops instead of one and always had to step out the door with her left foot first.
the same girl who knew him better than himself, and who he knew just as well.
so when he walked into your typical getaway spot, you couldnât really say you were surprised.
hidden and tucked away in the corner of the new rome library you sat, a book you couldâve even say the name of propped open in front of you just in case someone came in and you needed to look occupied.
you hadnât read a word since youâd gotten in there, for your brain was too busy reeling with thoughts about the boy who was now sliding his way through the front door to the library in search of you.
you heard footsteps enter the otherwise pen-drop silent room and darted your eyes to the page of your book, resting your face in your hand and letting hair fall over your face in hopes it might cover you up and by some miracle, conceal your identity.
but unfortunately for you, jason would know you anywhere.
he stopped in his tracks when his eyes fell on you, his darling girl hiding away in a corner, trying to disguise herself from the world. you werenât in your official centurion getup like everyone else, but instead jeans and a purple camp jupiter t-shirt that exposed the four lines scored across your arm.
four years. four years that you had known jason, and four years that had been stolen from him just like that.
âyn?â he uttered, asking even though he knew for certain that it was you.
you didnât answer, just flipped the page of the book you werenât reading. it bruised his heart a little bit, but he expected nothing less ever since your absence at the welcome party.
he walked closer, testing the water in hopes that youâd at least spare him a glance up. when you didnât even give him that much, he crossed the room fully until he was standing in front of the table you sat at.
âi braced myself when reyna told me you were mad, but i didnât expect for you to ignore my existence entirely,â he told you after the silence became too much to bear.
with a huff, you snapped your book dramatically shut and looked up at him, avoiding eye contact and making yourself seem as uninterested as you could possibly scrounge up.
for the first time in months, you took in the beautiful sight that was jason grace. he looked almost the same, with his starry eyes and pretty smile. except he was dressed in a eye-stabbingly bright orange shirt that read camp half-blood on it and was seemingly a size too small, considering how it distractingly hugged his biceps a little too snugly.
he still looked like him, but if he was masquerading around as someone he wasnât. a son of zeus and not jupiter. a quest leader and not a praetor. a teenage boy, not a soldier.
âlibraryâs closed, and you donât have authorization to override that rule anymore,â you told him bluntly. âor did you forget how to read, too?â
âokay, ouch,â he nodded, shoving his hands into the pockets of his jeans to stop himself from fidgeting. but that was the girl he knew: assertive and naturally bossy, for lack of a better word. a true leader, just like himself.
âiâm trying to read, leave,â you mumbled, keeping your eyes off of his.
âi know youâre not reading that,â he rolled his eyes, knowing that you didnât see it became if you had, he wouldâve been chided.
âyes, i am.â you insisted, reopening the book.
âsweetheart,â he sighed, pushing the cover shut again and pointing to the bleary title. âitâs in italian. which if i remember correctly, you donât speak.â
your cheeks flushed with embarrassment, but you were mad at him, gods damn it, and you were gonna act like it.
slamming the book down, you pushed yourself to your feet and began towards the door, not giving him the decency of another word.
poor jason didnât know what was going on. he didnât know why you were acting this way or why he didnât get the overwhelming joy of you running to his arms like annabeth had percyâs. no, instead you ran off at the mention of him and refused to meet his eyes.
heâd lost six months with you, and briefly lost the memories of all four years of you, there was no way he was going to lose you now too.
the fear of losing youâ all of youâ for good had a grip on him so tight that it made him catch your wrist with his hand before you could leave, and the touch of your skin against his sent a refreshing shock through his senses. one chance was all he needed to make sure you didnât slip through his fingers again.
âdonât go,â he said. âplease. iâ i donât really know whatâs wrong, but i know that i want to and that i want to fix it.â
for the first time again, your eyes met his. but where his were soft and concerned, yours were glassy and inflamed.
âyou donât know?â you glowered loudly, voice echoing in the silent and empty library, eyes holding angry tears. âjason, you left me! and for months, i tried to figure out what was wrong with me that made you do it, until everyone reminded me that it doesnât matter what i think or how i feel, because thereâs people to take care of and responsibilities to handle.â
jason stared at you, all the things heâd planned to say suddenly lost as he processed your broken words.
âand yeah, i know now that it was all juno, but by the time i was told, everything had already changed too much.â
âtoo much?â he questioned, looking down at you like a wounded puppy and yanking on your heartstrings.
it wasnât his fault, none of it was. the involuntary leaving, the memories being wiped, the identity shattering feeling of being an amnesiac. it was all juno and her twisted plans and jason was just a victim of it, and you knew that.
but he had forgotten you once, so what would stop him from doing so again? or worse, what if he had gotten all these memories of you back and the fresher version of his mind had decided that you just werenât worth it anymore? maybe you never were.
you were just protecting yourself, your heart.
at first when he left, youâd prayed every night heâd come back, wished on every shooting star and dandelion. but then you were forced to accept that no, he wasnât coming back and somebody had to step up. you had to step up.
it hurt so hard to have your life flipped upside down and take on more than you could even imagine, you just couldnât do it again.
whoâs to say that the minute you let him back in, he wasnât going to be ripped right away again?
âtoo much.â you restated. âbefore percy showed up, i was filling your position and holding my own. all while people either asked me what happened to you or looked at me like i was some poor, little wounded deer, and helping reyna keep everything from falling apart, and with fucking octavian breathing down my neck! and the whole time i couldnât think of anything but you, and your stupidâŚyou!â
you groaned and shoved your face in your hands to hide the tears that had already started falling, the frustration becoming too much.
slowly, jason put a hand on your shoulder and pulled you into his chest, to which you let yourself slowly collapse into his embrace, your hands the only barrier between your face and his chest.
he wrapped his arms around you carefully like heâd done many times before, rocking back and forth as a silent attempt to calm you. he felt a little guilty for enjoying the feeling of you in his arms again, given the circumstances.
âiâm sorry,â you whimpered into the cotton fabric of his ugly orange shirt. âitâs not your fault. and you donât deserve to be yelled at or ignored. iâm so sorry.â
âitâs okay,â he murmured into your hair. âiâm sorry for letting you think there was ever anything that could make me want to leave you. and, iâm sorry for not remembering everything sooner.â
you mustâve looked pretty damn rough for him to be apologizing that his memories were stolen by a goddess.
âyou really remember?â you whispered into his chest, scared that if you said it too loudly the answer might change.
âyeah,â he answered, picking his head up off yours and tapping the back of your head to draw you out of his chest.
you didnât go far, looking up at him while still in his arms, tear-streaked face and all.
âthere she is,â he mused. âthereâs my pretty girl.â
the frown on your face deepened at that, purely because your face was surely red and covered in tears, and he decided to compliment it anyways.
âeverything? you remember it all?â you sniffed.
âeverything.â he confirmed. âlike how this is where you go when youâre stressed,â he dipped his head down and kissed your cheek.
âand your favorite colorâs light blue,â he kissed your other cheek. âand you prefer mystery books to romance,â your forehead. âand i even remember the time i tied your shoe for you and got kicked in the face in exchange.â your nose.
you were eye-to-eye now, drowning in oceanic blue surrounding his blown-up pupils.
a small giggle passed your lips at the last anecdote, pressing a nostalgic smile onto your lips. âi missed you,â you admitted.
âi missed you too,â he said. âcan i have a kiss now?â
you smiled and pulled his face to yours, capturing his familiar and dearly missed lips with your own. after all the fussing and fighting youâd done, he could have as many kisses as he wanted.
synopsis. after a fight with sirius, regulus comes to his girlfriend sulking and she decides to have a little talk with his older brother.
notes. regulus black x malfoy!reader
you and regulus had many more similarities than anyone could guess just by simply looking at the two of you. the most obvious included your background â ancient, pureblood families, who were nuts about purity, both in slytherin, both richer than most of the hogwarts students together, and in everyoneâs eyes you were petty, stubborn and pretentious.
you two were petty and seemed pretentious, but it wasnât all that. the two of you both had siblings, who maybe cared about you in some way, but never showed it well enough for you to be sure they cared. you were sure sirius cared, but you werenât sure if lucius did. your brother was far from being a family guy.
both you and regulus were also painfully ambitious, and it kind of made the two of you so close as you were paired to one group in slughornâs classes, and to secure yourself a top spot, you had to work together. and so half a year later, you were planning a trip to france, lying next to each other on the bed in his dorm.
after that one summer everything has changed, and now you two were an official couple, though not many people knew since neither of you wanted to make a big deal out of it. the amount of classes you shared had shrunken since you took different ones, but it just made your bond stronger.
it all happened on a week before both of you were supposed to return to your respective houses (though, regulus would be staying at potterâs), you were wrapping your present for barty, when your boyfriend stormed into the room. pandora, who sat there with you, claimed she would leave you two alone and left. you could easily see that something happened from the look on his face.
âreg,â you began, eyebrows furrowed at his sudden appearance. âis everything alright, love?â a soft ask left your lips as he just laid down on your bed, face buried in a pillow.
silence filled your room right after you finished your sentence. it was time for you to just sigh quietly, putting a hand on his back and scratching it gently. âyou know you can talk to me, right?â your soft tone and the sensation of your nails on his back made him grunt.
âiâm not leaving for christmas.â he stated, catching you a little off guard. you were sure it was about the upcoming christmas ball that slughorn threw and since you were invited, regulus was ought to go with you. âi⌠got into a fight with sirius, so either we make up or iâm gonna go to my parents.â now, he was looking at you with misery and sadness flickering in his eyes.
âhe thinks james is more of a brother to him than i am.â regulus adds, his head now resting on top of your laps as you play with his hair, trying to comfort him at least a little. âand he says itâs not that big of a deal, since i consider evan and barty my brothers and iâd probably say that theyâre more of brothers to me than he is, but thatâs not true.â
his words made your heart ache. it was clear to everyone in your friend group (including remus, who often just tagged along) to know how much regulus needed siriusâ validation, how much he needed to be reassured that he doesnât hate him as much as regulus thought he did.
âi know we havenât talked until he moved out, but it still hurts.â he whispered, not even looking you in the eyes. âand he doesnât even recognize how much he means to me. heâs the only one in our entire family that matters more than everything. i got his initials and constellations tattooed and he thinks i would choose barty and evan over him?â
âyouâre brother is an idiot, and i mean it.â you murmured, showering his head with kisses. if regulus was in his usual mood, he would say he just acts like an idiot, but now? he didnât even want to defend him. âiâll stay with you. iâd go nuts if i had to spend a minute with lucius.â you say softly, fingers running through his hair.
it took you a few more minutes to comfort him enough to leave your dorm for his evening practice, and even though you were supposed to finish packing your presents before christmas. you had to talk to one, annoying gryffindor, who was no other than sirius black.
getting into their common room was easy, lily, friend of a friend of yours, let you in after hearing your explanation, showing you how to get into siriusâ dorm that he shared with james, remus and peter. âone of you better hold me or i might kill your friend.â you let out, looking specifically remus, who looked at you with a glint of surprise.
âwhat did he do again?â lupin asked, his expression scolding. âwhatâre you doinâ here, malfoy?â peter began, but before he could elaborate, remus put a hand on his shoulder and shook his head as you looked for the perfect words.
âhow can you be such an asshole, black?â you hissed, the end of your wand pointed at his throat. âone time youâre all on being the best older brother you can, but next time all i see in yourself is my brother, and believe me, thatâs the furthest from a compliment.â
âiâm not done, yet.â your teeth gritted, eyes narrowed at him. âheâd never choose anyone over you, yet youâd always choose him ââ you looked at james for half a second, then turned your eyes to sirius, again. ââ over your own brother, whoâd jump into flames just if you asked him to? unbelievable.â you sighed, putting your wand down, sliding it into your boot. âand you know whatâs the worst in all that? that i wish heâd pick anyone else over you, but he wonât, because he canât even get mad at you for not choosing him, heâs just sad.â
the atmosphere in the room is so tense, someone could cut it with knife. âyouâre an idiot for making regulus feel so little about himself, and yâall are idiots for letting him.â another sight left your lips as your eyes were locked with sirius. âmaybe even regulus will let you treat him like shit, but i wonât, black. iâll make sure to haunt your dreams and turn them into nightmares, i can promise you that.â you gave him your most ironical smile. âiâm a malfoy, donât underestimate me, cutie pie.â you sent him a wink,
âprotective girlfriend, huh?â remus chuckled as you passed him, giving you a high-five. âoh you bet, lupin.â and you left, sirius almost shamless at your sudden outburst, but⌠it was quite impressive â though, heâd never admit it.
you havenât seen neither of them till the next morning at breakfast, when they walked to the great hall together, talking about something until each of them got to their respective tables. âwhat did you do?â regulus asked, sitting on the bench beside you.
âwhat?â you asked with a sweet smile, nudging him lightly with your elbow. âjust had a small talk with sirius, why?â
âa small talk? with the tip of your wand pressed against his throat?â you nodded at his words, sending him a fake-puzzled look. âyou know i love you?â he bit back a smile, leaning closer to whisper those words right to your ear.
âoi, malfoy.â barty started, interrupting your somehow intimate moment with regulus. âtheoretically, if i paid you, could you do that to me as well? that mustâve looked bloody hot.â crouch grinned, getting a light punch on the shoulder from your boyfriend.
âi would rather not touch you, crouch. i donât know where the hell have you been.â you laughed, your head resting on regulusâ shoulder as his arm was wrapped around your waist. âdonât worry, baby. if any of them bothers you, i can fight.â you winked at him playfully.
