rexisms:
Knockturn Alley. Regulus hadn’t been back in Merlin knows how long; he’d rarely had business here, and something about the air had been off-putting. He’d been glad when the Black family fortune no longer needed to sustain a no-good uncle, as it meant the only spending draining their coiffers was that of his parents. Rex no longer had to run errands to Knocturn, peddling off another one of their pureblood wares for extravagant sums. That was, of course, till Father ended up wasting money again, leaving Regulus to pawn off some more of the family goods.
Now, Regulus felt unnaturally tired, and all but said so with how he’d collapsed on the bench. When he heard the sound of another body falling onto the bench, he looked over, vaguely recognizing the other person.Â
“Hello,” Rex said, nodding slightly. “Bad day?”
💣 his eyes landed on the person he thought was a stranger who after all was not totally a stranger, aidan knew him, of course he did, regulus black was right beside him. avery cocked his head to the side, he had to leave his best impression on the younger boy (in fact he wanted to leave his best impression on everyone so no one would suspect him). “hi.” his lips curled into a polite smile. “not bad at all, actually a pretty good day.” aidan chuckled; he then frowned, faking slight worry, if there was something he liked to brag, but only to himself, was how good he was at reading other people. “you seem tired, though. something wrong?”
