BTS deciding not to summit their work for the Grammys after knowing they’d most likely win next year is precisely what integrity looks like and I wish a lot of Latin artists would do the same thing.
The Grammys didn’t create that “Best Asian Music” category this year to be diverse. They did it to continue boxing non English speaking artists but especially BTS, so they won’t have to nominate them in the main categories with the rest of their peers. This was the Grammys telling BTS they’ll give them a Grammy win but under their own boxed category. We give you the scraps and you are supposed to take them. They said no.
They’ve been doing this for years under the disguise of diversity. “Best Traditional Country Album” a new category introduced after Beyoncé won in the Best Country Album category because they couldn’t stand a non white artist redefining that genre. “Best African Music” being introduced in 2024 to keep Tyla away from other pop girls. And “Best Latin Song” being introduced for this year along with Best Asian Music after Bad Bunny right fully dominated all of the charts last year. And mind you, Brazilian artists cannot even submit their work for this category because the rules say it has to be 51% in Spanish, even when Brazilians speak Portuguese but are Latin people.
It was never about diversity. It’s about boxing and categorizing these artists when global music (or more like non English music) is becoming bigger each year and this is the only way they can keep their American/British peers safe in their space.
In BTS’ latest album ARIRANG, they have a song called Alien where they describe feeling alienated by the industry duo to their xenophobic behavior. Them creating this category when they released one of the biggest albums of the year is proving them right. At the end, this was the right choice.
Great of BTS for rejecting the Grammys full on and not play into their very tokenization game.

I might sound dramatic, but I only get attached to a handful of authors, and you’re one of them (even though we don’t actually know eachother), so knowing that my little analysis made you just as happy honestly feels like such an honor.
And especially knowing that you’re considering picking Faking It back up again completely filled my heart. I’m so incredibly attached to that story (and I honestly don’t even know why), even though it only has three chapters. Your writing is just so captivating, so major props to you!!!
So… hoping I’m not bothering you any further, I also wanted to scream — I mean, analyze the masterpiece that is My Girl. If I yap too much, please let me know and I’ll end it asap. 😭
Let’s start with the opening scene, where OC is lost in her thoughts and then JK shows up in the sweetest way possible, immediately calling her “my girl.” I don’t know about her, but I would’ve melted on the spot.
And don’t even get me started on the fact that he dedicated an entire PINK section of his SCARY BLACK backpack just for her. If that doesn’t scream “hopelessly devoted to you,” I genuinely don’t know what does.
But can we PLEASE talk about the necklace?? And the fact that he specifically told her to make sure she always wears it??? I see you, JK… trying to claim your territory, you sneaky mannnn. 😭
like I said in my previous message… why can’t more men like soft, loving JK exist in real life? What a tragic loss for humanity. JUST KIDDING
What absolutely killed me, though, is that even after all of that she still had absolutely no idea what was going on. 😭 Which got me wondering… how long have JK and OC actually known each other? If I remember correctly, at the beginning it seems like it’s only been a relatively short number of years, which could explain why she never really noticed the change in him. Maybe he was already completely whipped for her from the moment they met? So to her, that was just… how JK had always been, and she never thought twice about it?
Then the scene the next morning was both adorable and absolutely hilarious when OC made sure JK wasn’t using her purple shampoo. Girl, I felt that. Those products cost a fortune!!! 😭
And then OC, after all of JK’s very “obvious” displays of affection, immediately going to Google to figure out what they could possibly mean… only to end up panicking. 😂 She is so painfully relatable.
BUT NOW WE HAVE TO TALK ABOUT THE REAL CLUE SCENE: THE COMPANY DINNER.
First of all, I completely melted when JK offered to tie her shoes after showering her with reassurance and compliments about how she looked.
And then, when JK finally announced in front of everyone that she was his girlfriend… my toes literally curled. 😭
I felt so bad for OC, though. From that exact moment on she spent the entire dinner in full panic mode and couldn’t even enjoy the evening anymore. But honestly, she did such a good job hiding it from everyone else (even though JK could tell she wasn’t actually okay), so someone needs to build her a statue for maintaining her composure.
The one who really broke my heart, though, was JK. At first he was so obviously hurt by what OC said once they got home, but he handled the situation like an absolute champ. He understood that she was panicking, and instead of taking it personally or getting offended, his first instinct was to comfort her. The line, “but he knows it’s not going to work this time when the person he has to protect me from is himself,” literally shattered my heart.
Thankfully, all’s well that ends well, because their confession at the end completely erased all the angsty tears from the previous scene. 😭❤️
What can I say, Gab… I genuinely didn’t think you could outdo yourself, but somehow you still exceeded my expectations.
Please never stop writing, because you’re honestly so incredibly talented. Your stories feel like such a breath of fresh air.

But it's just so cute in general and although I prefer it to be somewhere obvious like a necklace or bracelet it's also very cute when it's a bit more inconspicuous like an engraving on the inside or having them hidden within a design of some sort.

She's an oblivious one alright.
So Jungkook and oc met towards the end their final year of college when they were working on their bachelor's degree and then they both went for their masters so they had a fair amount of time to get to know each other.
Like around 2-3 years before he thought he had asked her to be together 😂
And to answer you questions yes...he was smitten from the very start.
But the thing is is that Jungkook had been dating off and on around the time that they first met but not like sleeping around or anything since...as we can see he takes personal and emotional connection very seriously above physical intimacy. So because of that oc didn't really think he had a thing for her.
His excuse as to why he stopped dating though when oc asked was that he was more interested in focusing on his studies and his friends since they would soon be parting ways to become full fledged adults at the end of it all.
He was always attentive to her, but like she recalled in the story things changed after that camping trip. She just wasn't observant enough to read between the lines 🫠
And yup, that girl doesn't play about her products but he loves to use them anyways since he thinks she look so cute when she's angry with him over silly things like this. But like he said, he always replaces them 🤭
I thought the Google searches and Reddit threads were a nice touch for the over thinker she had started to become all because of that damn necklace 🤣

She for sure was spiraling but did her absolute best to hide it because she knew this was a very important dinner for him so she didn't want to ruin it. He was worried but he saw that she was keeping it together so he knew he could push through and do the same.
All he wanted to do though was pull her away from prying eyes and do everything he could to see her smile again.
But yeah I was trying so hard to figure out a delicate balance between his emotions and reactions because he was fully convinced that they were happily together and taking things slow...extremely slow but he was just happy to be by her side and call her his girl 🥰
He truly was hurt and it hurt me too girly like they have such a deep and meaningful bond that seeing her back away from him was so so hard.

But like you said his first thoughts were very much protect and comfort but he knew he couldn't do that...at least not yet.

Yes! I know exactly what it looks like and I tried to find pictures that really fit since it was frustrating as hell trying to figure out how to use those home planning websites/apps 😭
Seriously I was struggling with it for foreverrr.
But anyways here's a general idea of what Jungkook's house looks like in JTI 🤍
So I know we all associate fanfic Jungkook as having a dark and mysterious house which pretty much is exactly what he has irl but this Jungkook wants to have a house that looks warm and inviting.
Took me forever to find something but I feel like this layout is the closest one that I could find for the front of the house.
Specifically one with the garage on the right hand side, a big living room on the left, a long entry hallway that goes straight back and a second story.
On the lefthand side on the second story though there isn't a room since I wanted the living room to have high ceilings but, there's a set of stairs on the outside of the house that you can take to access the small balcony up there.
Again took me forever to find something similar to what I had envisioned but for this one I really love the open concept look of the living room/kitchen.
The sofa is facing the other way though towards the wall and between the sofa and the kitchen there is a small dining table.
The area in the back of the picture where the formal dining area is actually a hallway that goes further back so ignore that.
Also for the stairs you'll actually turn right instead of left and that area to the left is just a wall that is the back of the master bedroom...but I'll get to that in a sec.
This is a close up of what the kitchen kinda looks like but the countertop is more shaped like a U instead of an L with an island. So basically the island here would be connected to the counter top if that makes sense lol.
The cabinets and fridge would be a lighter color though to match the rest of the house.
So if you keep walking straight through the living room you'll see two doors on your right. The first one is a little bathroom and the second one is the pantry.
Not so fun fact but this is the bathroom that oc had her little breakdown in in chapter one.
So if you keep on walking a little bit past the kitchen there's a door on your left hand side which leads to a guest bedroom that has it's own en suite.
Not so fun fact is that this is where Jina told Jared she was pregnant also in chapter 1 lol.
So if you keep on walking down that same hallway on the right hand side is Jungkook's office where they um *cough cough* in chapter 4.
There are a lot of things I'd change like for starters the carpet is wayyyy too light so I'd say it's more of a medium brown but yeah I hate this carpet 😂
Basically what I'd take from this is the large wooden desk, coffee table and built in bookcase thingy but they’d all be darker as well. I don't like how warm/red it all looks.
Also there isn't that table by the window with chairs but there is a window that overlooks the backyard and mini forests behind the house.
And last but not least for the ground floor is the garage lol
I'd say I like the workbench situation going on here but other than that there's not much else I really like about this lol
You'd be able to get access to the house through a door on the left hand side that leads to the living room in between the main front door and the stairs.
There's also a door on the right that leads to a walkway that wraps around the other side of the house and connects it with the main back yard area...if that makes sense lol
Also his garage goes a lot further back than this one does.
Okay so the back yard is kinda a mix between both of these.
When you first walk in the front door there are double doors to the left just past the couch that lead outside and there's a big deck that extends all along that side of the house
There's a small wooded area with a small clearing in the middle as well behind the house but I couldn't really find a good picture for that so I'll leave that up to your ✨imagination✨
It's basically the area where oc went to to cool off from her various confrontations with Jina and Jared.
In the future there's gonna be a small swing set like this but it'll only be put in when oc and Jungkook have their kids so it is not currently there at this point in the main storyline.
Okay so finally upstairs you’d go to the right and turn down a hallway on the left then on the left hand side there's a door to the master bedroom.
I don't like really anything about the room except for the fact that this is how it's kinda set up in the center picture. The big window though is where the entrance to the bathroom is and where the dresser is is where the walk in closet is.
Also the bathroom is like twice as wide as this one and the tub is built into the wall.
Also for the walk in closet all of the wood cabinets are the ones on the right so a lighter wood.
Hopefully that makes sense? 😅
If you keep walking down that same hallway on the right hand side is Jina's room which will eventually become the nursery (I know it's harsh but it's the best spot for it).
Jina was able to decorate it however she wanted to when she lived there but this is kinda the orientation of everything.
This has it's own en suite as well and a big closet but not a walk in.
Then if you turn back around and go the other way you'll pass the stairs and on the left there's a door that leads to a laundry room and closet for things like towels and sheets etc. It's a bit bigger than this but the washer and dryer are on the right hand side and the closet is on the left.
Then if you walk past the laundry room there's another door on the left which was oc's room before her and Jungkook were together...this also has an en suite because I like the convenience of it lol

Honestly, I hope no idol ever accepts being placed in that category. And no, I don't mean that in a disrespectful way, I mean it because the moment even one artist tries to win that award, they'll be indirectly validating exactly what the Grammys want.
They'll keep getting away with their racism because fans allow them to. Winning that Grammy isn't really a victory, it's giving them exactly what they want: keeping the spotlight on english speaking artists while shutting foreign artists out.
They did it first with the Latin Grammys, and now they're doing it to Asian artists. It's so fucking gross.
I finally finished my university exams, so I’ve been catching up on all the stories I’d fallen behind on, including yours! The very first thing I read was the Faking It drabble. First of all, you have no idea how much I’ve missed that story, so when I saw you’d posted this little update, my heart literally leaped.
So, hopefully I’m not bothering you, but I really wanted to scream I mean, analyze the drabble with you. 😂
First of all, I burst out laughing when OC, rightfully annoyed, was trying to shake Jungkook off while washing the dishes. At first he had absolutely no clue what was going on, and then the second he realized he’d stepped onto a minefield, he immediately let go and looked like a kicked puppy😭
I also loved how, instead of getting defensive or annoyed himself, JK immediately realized he’d messed up and genuinely tried to apologize. We love a man with emotional maturity!!!
But then OC saying something like, “It’s not the first time you’ve forgotten things… is there something you want to tell me?” really got me thinking… Why was JK being so forgetful during that time? I can’t wait to find out what’s really going on there…
Now let’s get to the most heart-wrenching part: our little Juni’s emotional breakdown.
First of all, I missed our Juni bug SO much. It honestly broke my heart seeing her “doubt” OC’s love for them. Obviously OC would literally die for her and for JK, but I can totally understand why little Juni might always be afraid of losing her mommy all over again, and that absolutely shattered my heart.
But then, when Juni immediately teamed up with OC against JK, I literally screamed, “YES, GO GIRL!” 😂 She’s such a badass.
Also… Tommy!! Is he the little boy they met at the park? Because if so… WHAT IF THEY END UP TOGETHER WHEN THEY’RE OLDER?? I don’t know why my brain immediately went there, but now I can’t stop thinking about it. 😭
Thankfully, all’s well that ends well, so that final scene where they made up left me finishing the drabble with the biggest smile on my face.
Seriously, Gabby, you never miss a shot. I missed Faking It so much, and from your recent asks I’m guessing it’s one of the next projects you’re planning to finish, which makes me ridiculously excited.

I love Juni sooooo much and I feel horrible for making her cry but it's a true fear that some children have when they see their parents fighting. That little girl deserves the whole world but her heart is so big that she can't help but get scared or hurt easily when it comes to the ones that she loves.
OC would literally go through hell and back for her and Jungkook so they're not getting rid of her that easily lol
Juni is definetly a girls girl so she will throw her daddy under the bus when it comes to her Pretty Lady/Mommy hehe

I didn't want to leave anything uncertain between all of them but also show that there are still some worries on Juni's side because she (as we can all see) is very perceptive and picks up on a lot of things even at such a young age.
She won't doubt oc in terms of her love or loyalty but with Juni's mother passing away a few moments after she took her first breaths it makes sense why she thinks it could all be taken away from her.

a/n: Just a silly little thing for my silly little boy.

I sit on the couch in the corner of his studio as he unboxes his new setup.
He takes time to carefully unwrap each item, mumbling to himself when trying to put them together, wondering where's the best place for it all.
I can almost see the cogs turning in his head as he works to set up his new mics, going back and forth to figure out which one would work best.
"You sure you don't want some help?" I ask for the third time when he looks particularly stumped.
"Huh?" his head popping up as if he had forgotten I was there.
"You stuck?" I ask, walking over to take a closer look.
"Which mic should I use?" he asks, giving me multiple mic checks.
"Ya ya ya ya, check it, one two tree two one, la la la la," he rolls through, making me stifle my laughter.
"What?" he pouts up at me, and I shake my head with a smile.
"You're just really cute. That's all," he glares at me, but with his bottom lip jutted out and his beanie making him look particularly round today, it doesn't leave me with the menacing effect I'm sure he had intended it to.
"If you're not going to be helpful, then I'll banish you to the couch again," he huffs, and I shake my head.
"I'm sorry, baby, I'll behave." I smile, but we both know it's a damn lie.
"Come here," he says, turning his chair around enough to have me sit on his lap.
"I have two camera angles now," he says, switching between the two of them. "And check this one out," he says, switching to the one to the right of his setup.
He sticks his hands out in front of me and makes the camera zoom in by putting his fingers in the shape of an L...well, an L and a backwards L depending on how you look at it.
He zooms in and out and in and out a few more times, mesmerized by the feature.
"Cool, huh?" clearly proud of himself for figuring it out.
"Very cool," I reply, just to see him smile wider.
"Watch this," he says and turns us to fully face that same camera, placing his hands a bit lower down and zooming in on my chest.
"Babe!" I scold, turning to whack his shoulder, making him giggle.
"What? You had to have seen that coming," a devious smile plastered on his lips.
"I'm not even wearing anything that shows my boobs," I grumble, having worn one of his many black hoodies, crossing my arms over my chest, the sweater paws adding to my pouted expression.
"I know, but I also know they're there and what they look like, so that's good enough for me."
I laugh but swat his shoulder again.
He spends the better half of the rest of the night showing me all of the other new features before he decides everything is ready enough to go live for a little while.
"Can you stay? Even if it's just to say hi?" he asks, always wanting to show me off to Army after we finally were allowed to go public.
I sigh and nod, walking over to get in frame.
He tugs me into his lap before I can protest further, hitting the button to start the live.
"You're a brat," I grumble right before the countdown ends, making him giggle.
"I know"
