crossed his arms, staring down the flour baby in front of them. “to be quite honest, i care the least about this. it’s flour, there’s literally zero reasons why we should watch it twenty-four-seven. it’s not like it’s gonna do anything.” he rolled his eyes, “but like, if you want to like actually do this thing, i guess i’ll try. but if you don’t? i’m totally fine with just writing a bunch of tally marks on this thing, and just leaving it by the pool. but like, if you care, then that’s chill too, i guess.” pj really didn’t want to be stuck with this thing, though he supposed if they gave him one of those baby backpacks it’d be fine, and wouldn’t have to bother to remember to bring it with him. though if it somehow cock blocked him, then he’d have an issue.

“cool. i kinda didn’t want to go in alone. would’ve felt a bit weird, you know?” he shrugged, still smiling. pj, jumped into the pool, no theatrics, just with urgency, ready to be submerged in cool water, to help fend off the heat. brushing his own hair out of his eyes, he heard the sound of atticus’s landing and whipped his head towards him, wincing, “oh dude, are you okay? i guess it’s been a long time since you’ve jumped in a pool, yeah?” 

“okay, okay, i can respect that.” he shrugged, a small smirk on his lips, “i just might be. you’ll have to stick around and find out.” pj took a step back, ready to see the competition. though upon witnessing her display, the artistry in her form, the lack of splash, he found himself quite impressed. and even a bit screwed, nothing about what he was about to do would mimic anything close to what she just showcased, if anything, besides good technique, they were complete opposites. “alright, alright, prepared to be wowed then.” mimicking a gymnastic’s pose, arms up and pointing outward, obviously joking, before getting a running start and executing a solid front flip, tucking his hands under his knee’s once he’s pushed off, landing in the water, feet first. the splash not a big as the effect of a cannon ball but definitely nowhere near silent. swimming up to the surface, shaking water out of his hair. “so? what’d you think?”

“i swear i’ve watched two whole seasons of love island and i’ve never seen them swim once. always in their bathing suits, never swimming. i don’t know, maybe, i’m just watching the wrong shows then.” he shrugged. “ah, see that’s the spirit..” his encouraging words teetered off, his eyes glued to her as soon as even a bit of skin was revealed, only blinking into action once water had splashed him. “you call that a splash?” he teased, full grin on his face. pj took a running start, launching himself towards the deep end, doing a flip, his skateboarding skills coming in handy. 

“i don’t think i did, joining this show was kinda of an impulse-” wobbling back, arms out trying to grip onto something. pj couldn’t help but feel instant dread, honestly should’ve having seen that coming. resurfacing, he brushed his orange hair out of his face, and swam to the edge, “-that was totally my fault, i definitely asked for that but, so did you-” pj lifted him self up, grabbing onto benji’s arm and pulling him in. 

pj’s known for lack of shame, his confidence is what carries him, easily through all situations. “hey, if you don’t want to, i won’t push. i just figured it’d allow me to get to know you better, or you know, at all. we can keep it PG, though preferably still in the pool, because i’ve been waiting to jump in that.”

“what? what’s there not to trust? i’d say this smile of mine is pretty trustworthy.” he grinned, shrugging, “i was about to suggest you push me in the pool to gain that trust, but, eh, your way sounds pretty good too. i quite like the idea of trying to impress you. and since it was your idea, i suppose it’s only right i go first? and while i do like you standing close to me, already. i’d recommending steering clear if you don’t want to get soaked before you even get in the water.” he boasted. even without wheels under him, pj’s always been pretty good about catching air. and if she wanted something better than a cannon ball, well, he’d bring it.

“oh, extremely.” he chuckled, eager to get his hands on him, hovering over his well sculpted back, his legs on either side of his thighs. “it was hard to not notice,” starting from his lower back, working his way up, making sure to feel up his muscles as he went, to feel like he was really getting the most out of this experience. “oh, this body? nah, all genetics,” he joked. “nah, all genetics.” he joked. “nah, but really, if you’re body’s something i could achieve, you ought to teach me what i’m doing wrong, ‘cause uh, i’m a bit jealous,” he grinned.

“without you? it’d be less fun that way.” he shrugged it off. a huge grin covering his face at elliots reaction, “you really didn’t have to ask. but thank you for that much needed consent.” he chuckled, launching himself up from the seat, reaching out for the tube and spreading a good dollop of sunscreen on his palms, “well come on, i gotta see what i’m working with, flip on over.” he waved him off as he approached elliot, widening his stance in front of the lawn chair, preparing to straddle him. “you work out, right?” he teased.

pj shook his head, stretching out his arms as he leisurely made his way over to elliot, “a true shame.” lay himself down on the chair next to him, he turned to him, elbow holding his head up, “if anything, the bigger shame is that you didn’t ask me to help you lather that on. but uh, i could help rub that in, if you’d like.” checking him out, completely unashamed.

pj stood outside in front of the pool, in his swim trunks with his arms out wide, taking a deep breath, “i swear most times on tv you never see anybody in the pool and that’s illegal when it looks this good, don’t you think? say want to join me and definitely never been caught on camera?” he winked.
