Marissa gave her an approving nod back, waving to the bartender to make it two. Viper had a soft spot for Delilah. It really wasn’t that long ago that she’d swooped into her life offering up a chance to do something about the shit that had happened. Even if she’d said no, Marissa still had a house lined up in Havensdale for her and the kid— not that she was ever about to admit that little tidbit. Better to let ‘em say ‘yes’ first.
At Delilah’s comment, Marissa let out a bark of a laugh. “I like that. Happy to confirm we don’t actually live inside the school and if we did, I probably would have murdered Q by now-,” she grinned, tipping her glass in Delilah’s direction. Truer words. She might still if her hunch worked out. “How’s the whole homemaker thing working out for ya?”

Delilah owed a lot to Marissa, both of the Fisher sisters did. The other woman had shown up in the midst of their grief and thrown them a lifeline, a stable home for Blair, a job for Delilah with the ability to pay her bills and get revenge.
“We can’t have anyone murdering Q, not even you. Then who will give us fancy toys to break?“ Delilah said with a grin and tipped her glass in return. “It’s...getting easier. Kind of. I still feel like I don’t know what I’m doing.”
