A Minecraft alternative universe/fan interpretation, and perhaps fanfic by @thestralces.
An obscure post-apocalyptic fantasy setting of Minecraft where the Moon harbors a vengeful olden spirit, pushing her undead army forward in an attempt to erase all that the Universe has created and preserve it in a twisted, rotting mirror image. I reckon most of this blog will be lore and worldbuilding, but i am sitting around on OCs and some semblance of plotlines.

Taxid is in the ATO universe (where all my other minecraft-related stuff has taken place) still even if it doesnt seem like it, they're a Conduit, which is a flesh-and-blood but magical and not quite mortal incarnation of either heads of the Universe (basically, players). They are mostly distinguished by their most glaring visual quality: the head of any existent or non-existent animal, kind of like an egyptian god. They also have near boundless magic, summoning matter and creatures out of thin air, changing the time and weather, to cause anything to drop dead within a second even; Conduits in general aren't very populous, for good reason (commands lol). They're sent down by their respective patron (Skein or Esse) manually, usually nearby a village/colony/other sophont settlement to be raised by such, kind of like some divine cuckoo.
Taxid is a Conduit of Skein (blue) and was mostly just Yer Average Avatar Of God until they decide to try and sail all the way to the Farlands.
Basically in ATO the closer you get to the world border (are the worlds flat,,,,) the more potent the overall magic gets and it starts to warp and distort everything to the point of entirely new shoddy animals and terrain that barely obeys physics. the Borderline is the spot between the normal Overworld and the Farlands where there's still stable terrain but it. gets reeaaal weird.
Heading to the end of the world was, ofcourse, a daunting task, entailing several trials including (in order):
-Being fried over open water by a fire dragon and saved by hippocampi
-Slaying a mighty sea serpent with only a crowbar and an even mightier fed up mental state
-Minor whirlpool... In a river?...
-Yet another fire dragon encounter they won this time
-The increasing passive magic potency influenced their anatomy aswell, their human features slowly being lost for avian ones. Their useless stubby sickly wings and tail will never continue to grow as sprouting entirely developed new limbs failed
Eventually as they pulled up to dry land on the Borderline they stopped to take in these surrealist territories where giant flying lizard turkey things puked flames and fire (occasionally lightning) and the mountains themselves held levitating chunks and twisted themselves into impossible shapes, and Taxid eventually decided they will not continue on to the Farlands.
Does that mean they sailed back to where the fabric of reality actually functions properly? No.
They settled down on a plains shore somewhere amidst this Borderline, now dedicating themselves to finding out how all this works, how to adapt to it. And also to doing a bit of trolling
Lord knows how long it's been now. Apparently long enough for them to amass a great deal of skills and hobbies; construction, mechanics, magic-biology, genetic engineering, beastslaying/poaching, animal husbandry, agriculture, blacksmithing... Taxid is an aspiring inventor, and the Overworld would be quite a few eras ahead if any of their self-assembled labstuffs leaked out inland. They spend most of their time tampering with trying to influence the developmental changes of magic-influenced animals, trying to fine-tune them into more longer-lived functional looking organisms than six legged abominations fresh out of Chernobyl. And it seems to be working! But mostly in avians. They have a grand flock of horse-sized flightless birds of their own craft, they refer to this derived species mostly as korania (titanis walleri ingame).
Alongside their life-creating endeavors they enjoy hunting dragons and other high-mutants, their viscera contributing to their research in some way anyway.. they have quite a few skulls strung up in their house, priding themselves as a bone collector. When they aren't killing the supernatural beings, they're wrangling them into pethood. They also might've semi kidnapped an enderman...

additional notes:
-social, friendly and passive by nature, easily accepting other animals or even sophonts into their circles. they are very closely knit with humans, but the moon post-apocalypse is pushing them into a minor resource conflict. they dislike handling things with violence, but they have the golems for that
-do not eat meat at all, and live solely off their harvest, and occasionally a few non-meat animal products like eggs and milk. they keep animals usually only to trade with humans, use them for transport like horses, or cow leather for their tunics
-due to the moon's undead animosity, they have superstitions about the color white as hostility, grim fate or misfortune. it is somewhat similar to our interpretation of the color black. albino/leucistic animals are treated as ill omens.
-most villagers know the human language.
-folding the hands up to one's chest is considered a nice, non-threatening gesture, with them tucked into their tunic sleeves being the most submissive form of it, essentially saying "i mean no harm". however, as a sign of supreme trust and social bonding, village members tend to get rather physical with eachother, ruffling eachother's manes and bumping or twining trunks. (all of these can be either platonic or romantic. villagers are monogamous, but that doesn't limit their "cuddle circle".)
-no sexual dimorphism
-villagers can zombify but they don't respawn, for their gift from the Universe is the golems (respawning is a human thing)

additional notes:
-currently live ruled by 'Jean' a not-quite-ordinary female enderdragon. this is an unusual age for them, considering dragons are their only predators, and despite both being sophonts they cannot make contact or communicate in any way (and refuse to) (Jean is all weird cause of the end crystals so she can)
-communicate solely by locking eyes and utilizing telepathy. they aggress at non-endermen looking them in the eyes due to other sophonts not being built for telepathic communication, which essentially leads to them overwhelming the ender with all their garbled thoughts at once and causing immense discomfort
-the mandibles are culturally/societally viewed mostly as weapons, hence why agitated displays include flicking or bringing them outward. they have no stigma about the mandibles themselves, but endermen in especially non-violent/peaceful roles (caretakers for example) may choose to cover them with a veil of sorts
-baby endermen (enderlings?) start out as larvae and pupate at about, maybe 3-ish months by our standard? imagos are fuzzy gangly little noodle things more resemblant of adults but are slightly lighter colored, have more setae and a softer exoskeleton that hardens with age. larvae to early juveniles ride around on their mothers' backs (like possums!) until they can hold their own, or are simply too heavy to carry anymore (will draw diagrams on this too)
-the end islands being clustered in rings around the mainland (where Jean resides), they bridge from island to island to gain one large sum of land for one city. there are tons of cities, dozens of mayor-equivalents, but Jean is the one ultimate authority (queen). endermen have surnames based on where they're from rather than their family
-lifespan of about 50-70 years
-the little clusters of enders seen in other dimensions are either those that have ran away in rejection of Jean's rule, or are her scouts. dimensional variants exist because they're not quite fit for living outside of the end but they adapted somehow i guess, they still have shorter lives and are more anxious in general though
-due to the complete communication block and tendency to attack when eye contact is made, endermen are largely uncontacted by other sophonts and some overworlders don't even consider them sapient, holding them as strange animals, mystical beasts it is a brag to slay, or simply "other"

-endermen are monogamous and both parents raise the young, but the female mostly does the heavy lifting while the male supports
-fully mature at about 3 years old
-the breeding pair often crafts a nest from a shulker shell with chorus flower bedding, this is the designated sleep spot for enderlings up until the clutch can no longer fit comfortably in it, this is treated as a symbolic coming of age thing
-they form very close bonds with their siblings, and sometimes the parents' own help with childrearing
-larvae are moved out of the nest during pupation and spaced out evenly on a bedded spot on the floor
-juvenile imagos are very awkward with their limbs at first and as a result often ride on their mother's back in public until they get the hang of walking
-"chorus milk" is just an inner light purplish liquid from chorus fruit, this essentially sets the path for not-yet-solid-eating imagos for gaining their teleportation by diet later
at last after like a month of rotting in my files, illagers (read: two-legged tapirs with chicken type society)
additional notes:
-rather related to villagers, enough to create (sterile) crossbreeds but this doesn't usually happen and is frowned upon for obvious reasons
-they're not evil per se, but they have a nasty reputation for not getting along with the other sophonts and having a generally aggressive culture + attitude. they base their entire lives on battle, strength and status, considering violence to be the only effective way past the post-apocalypse
-thought omnivorous they highly prefer meat, and hunt rather than keeping livestock
-due to way less human exposure than villagers, they are still prone to speaking seperate languages, and even emote differently as they didn't have the closeness or requirement to pick up human body language (i have diagrams on this i'll post seperately)
-they have three distinct hierarchal classes; evokers, vindicators and pillagers. the classes themselves establish superiority but there are ranks within the classes, established by wrestling and then enforced by posturing. pillagers on the top of their class can be promoted to vindicators, but vindicators can only become evokers if they are married in by one.
-pretty sure illagers are the only species where marriage is a thing, they like to limit their mouths to feed so they have evokers condone breeding pairs. vindicators and evokers can marry (in which based on personal choice the vind can become an evoker, but they have to learn magic) but pillagers are confined to their own. same-sex pairs dont get married because they can't produce anyway idk their idea of marriage is different than ours its more just a having children license
-they also make sport of hunting the undead, considering it either a mercy or threat eradication. they can also zombify here but their gift from the Universe is the totems

additional notes:
-villagers used to have the same expressions as illagers, but were somewhat influenced by human body language
-lower ranking illagers are expected to keep their emotions/atleast expressions more "modest", like, say, a pillager not raising their trunk as high as an evoker
-placing their trunks on their chins in fear or submission is practically signifying they're holding their mouth shut, a significant sign as showing teeth is considered disrespectful, challenging or aggressive. tightening the lips is less negative but more of a "i am resisting the urge to bite you". i advise against smiling at an illager
-they don't raise their trunks as much due to the curving/full raise is associated with snarling
-villagers generally vocalize less but they snort in anger and hum with positive/happy connotation similar to a purr, illagers threat "bark" and yowl/roar while aggressing and hum as a submissive gesture
-the "laughter" equivalent of both species is rapidly chattering their teeth, and "crying" is a stretched out low howl. it is polite, and sometimes customary, for lower class illagers to cover their mouths when laughing. (evokers can show their teeth to whoever the hell they want!!!)
-offensive gestures consist of grabbing the tip of the tongue with the trunk in an exaggerated disgusted expression ("you're vomit inducing") and swinging the trunk back to thump against their head ("come at me bitch") for villagers and snapping and coiling the trunk similar to their irritated expression for illagers
