okay so number one - he cares. and not just in a "oh I've got to" way, his role in the eternals team arguably had the least to do with their "mission" considering he wasn't allowed to interfere. but regardless he cared about humans to the point that he'd rather be killed than let them continue to hurt one another

and it's not just humans - he cares about the other eternals too. before he disappeared, he was defending thena. when sersi started panicking about potentially killing tiamut he stepped in. and don't get me started on the reaction when makkari came back from finding the point of emergence and ikaris attacked her.

but also. the anger?? that's totally understandable but that people around him don't get?? the "you've literally just dropped a bombshell so let me process this before asking me for something"?? it's so real

I feel like at this point I need to just add a point for makkari and be done with that. they're just the best and made druig a more rounded character so tyvm chloe, lauren and barry x

I touched on it before but his ability is another thing - in the grand scheme of things it doesn't fit in with the abilities of all of the other eternals - even sprite's illusions have a practical use. it made him feel like an outsider which could have gone horribly (like I was 99% sure he was gonna be the big bad when I first saw it bc of how different he was to the others) but it didn't

and yes I guess barry keoghan has something to do with it to a certain degree but regardless, I genuinely think druig is a character with so much depth and potential hence him being my favourite eternal.
