I have THOUGHT about this Au (tho Iām still figuring things out so things are up for change)

(For context, this is set Centuries after Celestia and Lunaās Time, both Sisters having retired and disappeared long ago, Twilight and Cadance now ruling most of Equestria, however thereās been a sudden increase in Alicorns just across the border in the country of Mira, though any information on their sudden appearance is a tightly kept secret to anyone on the outside)
Green: Pegasus (recessive genes)
Born with Underdeveloped wings due to having earth pony parents, Green has never gotten the chance to fly, but dreams about it constantly,
Despite being content as a worm Farmer Green is utterly fascinated with space, and upon the announcement of Miraās government starting a space program they set their life goal to one day becoming a captain of their own vessel, eventually managing to land a position on the Skeld as a Janitor
Do I have to explain this one?? Literally just the same lore except theyāre a unicorn because of corse they are
Orange has a knack for organisation, theyāre THE go to when it comes to keeping things by the books, theyāre keeping on top of everything, no document misplaced no cargo mislabeled, this attitude is exactly the thing Mira officials are looking for, earning Orange a very special spot on the crew of the Skeld
Born into Miraās leading Mining family, Black has a long history of Geology, having earned their cutiemark at a very young age and quickly becoming an expert in their field, the government of Mira actually reached out to them about a new expedition to harvest ore from a nearby star system, promised to be part of a two pony team with high grade equipment, Black agreed, only to be incredibly disappointed by their featherbrained partner
Being born and raised in Clouds Dale for the first half of their childhood, then suddenly moving to Mira, left Cyan without many friends, often leaving them to befriend the local crows as the only company they could talk to, leading to the eventuality of the crows bringing them gifts, often small gems. This started Cyan down the path of Gemology, quickly finding their cutiemark and dedicating their life to understanding all the intricacies of gems and their properties. Upon hearing of the space program, and the chance to discover new gems never even seen before, Cyan quickly applied, landing a job as a secondary Geologist on the Skeld

The best Doctor in all of Mira, usually spending their free time building wells for those in Klugetown and saving kittens from Timberwolves, Blue thought it would be best to help out this upstart crew, wanting to do everything in their power to keep those on the mission safe
Food was Yellows entire life, growing up in a family that valued cooking like they valued love. easily getting into culinary school, where they met Brown, Yellow becomes a master at their craft, always trying to one up the chefs around them, when Mira Officials put out an ad asking for cooks, Yellow is fast to apply, they might not trust the government but being the first chef in space would level their competition
Brown: Unicorn (Recessive)
Being born to two Earth Ponies left brown with extremely little magic and a more stocky build, this left them ostracised from other Unicorns when growing up, often leading to stress baking just to pass the time, though their dedication grew strong enough to build intensely refined culinary skills, earning them a place in a culinary school, where they met Yellow. While not having exactly the same drive as Yellow, they did allow the Pegasus to eventually convince them to join them on the Skeld as a secondary chef
They donāt trust Miraās government in the slightest. Barely able to look at Red anymore after they were assented to Alicorn as a reward for becoming the first spacefaring captain. Something has changed in their friend and theyāre going to follow them onto the Skeld, because they want the old Red back and cannot risk losing them for good
Red: Alicorn (Born Earthpony)
Being an Alicorn is cooler than expected (though theyāre not sure when that whole āmagicā thing is supposed to kick in, the horn is pretty even if itās useless though) Reds not sure why Purple is so frowny recently, not even a thank you for managing to land them a Security detail on the ship! I mean, whatās going to happen, theyāll get robbed?? In space?? Surrrreee
