This video is the brainchild of Patrick Boivin. A French autodidact (self taught) director. In addition to writing, directing and editing his films, Patrick, on top of all that also worked on the lighting, operated the camera and the animation and special effects. And if that wasn’t enough, he also sometimes contributed the sound and music. Pretty impressive.

Patrick started out by drawing comic books 15 years ago, and quickly discovered that it was faster to tell a story with a video. He then gradually became a filmmaker.

First Fiddle Lesson

I had my first fiddle lesson today! It was a lot of fun. I now have a few bowing techniques that I'm working on as a result of the lesson and I have another lesson scheduled for next week. :)

Two events going on this Saturday in Austin. Art Erotica and Bill Maher both at the same time. I feel torn but I will have to choose Art Erotica since it's so fun and only once a year. If you've never been, it's an awesome time and it's for a great cause.

Celtic Fiddle

I've picked up a new hobby and have already scheduled my first lesson. My instructor teaches only by ear (perfect!) and I couldn't be more excited!

I've been practicing for some time. Most of my practice sessions have been focused on getting a decent tone (ala bow strokes and basic fingering).
