SAVES ARE BROKEN

Since a new file has been added, and many of the old code has been changed (which hopefully means that most of the crystal bugs are gone for good), saves made before 23 Feb 2026 WILL NOT WORK.

The new chapter adds about 140 000 words to the story.

The total word count now sits at around 830 000 words.

But there is also some bad news. I removed the poly route. None of the poly scenes are available anymore in the game, and I don't know yet if I will add them back or not. I kept the files, of course, so they still exist on my computer, but they aren't in the demo. I decided to remove it because the game is simply getting too big, and balancing all the different romance/friendship routes is already a big enough challenge. I might add the poly back if I have time, once the game is finished, but I don't promise it.

Those who are doing Narmer's route, be prepared for a heavy emotional (very angsty) scene somewhere toward the end of the latest chapter.

This is a 18+ historical gothic-horror-romance interactive novel. Inspiration was taken from classic gothic literature and modern dark fantasy such as: Brotherhood of the Wolf (Le Pacte des Loups), Crimson Peak, The Bloody Chamber, and the folklore surrounding the Beast of Gévaudan. Also it will be set in 1764 France and though I will try to make it somewhat historically accurate, I will also take some creative liberties(like my research has not stopped and history fascinates me), I mean besides the whole fantasy stuff.

I want to explore certain themes, like the MC duality and the beast within, human monstrosity and supernatural, trauma, guilt, identity, reason vs superstition, and of course feminine rage , along with bodily autonomy. (So do not come at me asking if MC can be male).

Content Warnings: This story is intended for a mature audience. It will explore themes of psychological horror and will include explicit violence and gore, body horror (related to lycanthropic transformations), sexual themes (explicit sex scenes, including references to and mild depictions of sexual assault), religious fanaticism, and gaslighting.

70K+ words. It’s time for contemplating and making complicated decisions. The chapter is a mix of plot and relationship progression. Those on the romantic paths should be fed especially well :) There’s also an important plot choice with two main branches that will lead to quite different endings.

Warning: I think plurals for the preset pronouns were working wrong, so if you see a problem with that in your text, go to your profile, change the pronouns, and pick your preset again. It should show up correctly then. That way you won’t have to start a new save.
