Ok time for a sappy post

Four years ago today I got the call telling me I had cancer. Since then I have been through the absolute worst days of my life, and lost so much, but this last year I finally feel like I have begun to be able to look forward again. I have had the energy to actually talk to people (sometimes) and made new friends, and I've gotten into a new hobby for the first time in years.

I am so glad I've had tumblr and everyone on here through all of this. Even if we've never actually talked, just seeing familiar names in my activity is a little internet hug every time!

I SAW THIS IN THE PORTLAND ART MUSEUM! ITS HUGE!

it shimmers like no gemstones i've ever seen: green as malachite and emerald but shot through with opal, gold, copper. photographs can't do it justice because of how it shines, as well as the way the actual material elements have their own dimensions. you can lean in and study all the fine lines of the circuits or step back and admire how the rearranged whole forms new patterns. it's one of the most beautiful creations i've ever seen.

#STOP SAYING 'PLATONIC' WHEN YOU MEAN 'CASUAL'#RELATIONSHIPS CAN BE PLATONIC AND ABSOLUTELY DERANGED

I have been through 4 primary care doctors in 5 years and only once been notified that they were leaving the practice. I even had a physical still scheduled and showing up on my MyChart for the last one that I was just informed right now over the phone left a month ago when I called to try to get in and see her about a more pressing issue which I now have to be put on a waiting list for.

I am a cancer patient in this same medical group/system ffs, but I'm treated like an entirely new patient every primary switch!
