Up All Night

"What if she’s waiting for me behind the door?" Kwazii whispered. It was strange at how long it was taking her to find him. Perhaps she was changing tactics?

"So do you spend much of your time trying to hide from your sister?" James said taking a step closer to the door. 

James looked around the room but didn’t see another door except one to a closet. “There’s a window," He said sarcastically. 

It was only a matter of time before she showed up, and Kwazii could feel himself getting jumpy in anticipation. He put his hands down to fiddle with the bottom of his shirt as he shifted his weight between his feet.

"The second why?" James said looking at him and then his eyes widened a bit. "Wait a second....the window thing was a joke." 

"Sure," He replied with a smile. “Got any where in mind?"

James looked around the room but didn't see another door except one to a closet. "There's a window," He said sarcastically.

"Oh!" James laughed a little and letting his guard down. 

"Sure," He replied with a smile. "Got any where in mind?"

"I’m sorry to disappoint. I do wish I could say I’m in a band though." James looked around a shrugged, " I don’t know, just hanging out." 

"Um.." James raised an eyebrow,"Is someone following you? I can help if you’re in some sort of danger." His eyes glanced at the door.

"Oh!" James laughed a little and letting his guard down. 

"I’m sorry to disappoint. I do wish I could say I’m in a band though." James looked around a shrugged, " I don’t know, just hanging out." 

"Um.." James raised an eyebrow,"Is someone following you? I can help if you're in some sort of danger." His eyes glanced at the door.

"Me in a band?" He shook his head, “I don’t think so. I mean I can play the guitar but there’s no way I’d be able to preform in front of a ton of people."

"If you’re not in a band, then what are you doing here?" Kwazii asked, standing on his toes for a second.

"I'm sorry to disappoint. I do wish I could say I'm in a band though." James looked around a shrugged, " I don't know, just hanging out." 

"Are you okay?" Kwazii asked with a grin.

"oh yeah…yes" He said trying to contain his laughing. I just didn’t realize anyone came in." He breathed heavily. 

"Me in a band?" He shook his head, "I don't think so. I mean I can play the guitar but there's no way I'd be able to preform in front of a ton of people."

It took James awhile to notice someone else had joined him. It took a ear bud out bud out but instead of saying something he began to laugh really hard. It was partly because he was a tad embarrassed but he also found it funny. 

"Are you okay?" Kwazii asked with a grin.

"oh yeah...yes" He said trying to contain his laughing. I just didn't realize anyone came in." He breathed heavily.
