BIOGRAPHY !
When Aydin and Ersa first met, they were both two young adults that just begun college neither really looking for any sort of relationship. They met in a general education class their first year at college and immediately became friends. Their relationship eventually progressed to a romantic one by the end of their third year at university. Ersa went off to study medicine, while Aydin always had his sights set on politics. After they finished their degrees, they married and stared a life together. Aydin slowly working his way up in the political field, while Ersa's career was just starting out. By the age of thirty-two, both of them were well respected in their fields and Aydin was offered a job working with the ambassador in America. At first, Ersa decided not to follow her husband, but when she got pregnant, she took a hiatus to live with her husband.
Adile Topal was born a fragile child, a sick child. For the first four years of her life, she was barely let outside the walls of her house—her parents scared that she'd catch a cold. But for as fragile as she was, Adile was a firecracker. She was always causing some sort of trouble, unable to sit still for more than two seconds, or attempting to escape. She was curious about the world around her and wished that she was allowed the freedom to see the world beyond Embassy Row. Eventually, her parents relented enough to let her go to a private school in DC. Adile hated school. She didn't like the structure, didn't like the rules, didn't like the lack of freedom and creativity. Often she was lost in her own little world or pretending to play with fantastical creatures she made up in her mind. As much as her parents tried to keep a reign on their daughter, they couldn't.
Her parents eventually decided that maybe Adile and Ersa should go back home for a while—maybe that would calm their wild child down. It did the opposite. She only became more wild back home. After turning twelve, they decided to send her back to America, hoping that if the family was together, that maybe their child would calm down. Of course, Adile didn't settle down. No matter what they tried, no matter how much they punished and threatened to send her to a boarding school, Adile seemed to cause chaos everywhere she went. Her parents stopped trying to control her, realizing that their child was always going to crave chaos. But they warned her that one day her ways would end up getting someone—or herself—injured. There were just some lessons that Adile was going to have to learn on her own and maybe then, she would learn to live a more cautious life.
Adile loved taking risks that she knew she shouldn't take. When Adile was sixteen, she and her best friend skipped school to go to a concert in Baltimore. The two of them didn't see the deer until it was too late. Her friend swerved and the car went off the road into a ditch. Adile was rushed to the hospital with a few broken bones, but her best friend didn't make it. That lesson that her parents had always tried to warn her about had finally been taught—and Adile learned it the hard way. After the accident, Adile changed. Or at least she played the part. The other students around her whispered about her and she had no friends for the remainder of school. She finished high school, barely managing to scrape the grades together. Adile hadn't even bothered to apply for colleges.
Her parents were at a loss with what to do with her. In the end, it didn't matter. Adile turned eighteen and took off across the country. She landed in Aurora Bay honestly on accident. As much as her parents wanted to keep in contact with her, Adile decided that the only contact she'd have with her parents were once a year on her birthday. She got a job as a maid at Seascape. Even though Adile's parents have tried to send her money and want her to go to college—they ask every year on her birthday—she's happy with her life. As much as she's struggling to scrape by, she's truly thriving being on her own. To her, the world is a wide, wonderful place with lots of new people and new experiences—and she knows that living every day to the fullest is the only way to live a fulfilling life.
HEADCANONS !
She never finished a single book she was supposed to read for high school. She'd always get someone to tell her what the book was about or read Spark Notes.

"I think I'd have a hard time not living by the water, after having done for so long." He had gotten spoiled, that even if he eventually ended up moving easy enough access to a beach/the water would be high on the list.
"It helps to get to just pick up and leave when you want, even come back later if the mood strikes." Maybe the crowds would thin, as those who came to visit and therefore likely plant themselves for most of the day would be starting to wrap up. "What do you do when it's not the best beach weather, like it's cloudy?"
"People back home would drive to the beach or just go out in boats after driving to an area with boats. The amount of kids in my class that had large boats. What are they called?" Adile questioned, humming under her breath. "I like being a walking distance to the beach." And she wasn't planning on moving.
"I agree! I adore when I can have a couple of hours to chill at the beach and then just go home before going off to work. Or like stop by on the way home from work. It's great." As long as it wasn't raining or super windy. "I'll still go to the beach when it's cloudy. As long as it isn't raining. But I try to do something new every day."
"Now I'm wondering if you're calling me old," he jokes, though he's not exactly lying. "Alright, fair enough, I'd try to impress you and say that I've heard of them, but I wouldn't even know where to begin." He thought of himself as a decent actor but he wasn't much for improv. "I've heard of Elton John, though. He's alright, I guess." @adiletopal
"No, I'm just not very not very good at remembering faces." She normally didn't care to remember faces. "Maybe you should listen to some Turkish bands. They're really great. I love all of them." She loved dancing around to her favorite bands even if not many people here could understand the lyrics. "I'd hope so. He's one of those English speaking people," Adile said it as if it was an insult, but she was joking. "Okay, then who's your favorite?"
“ the beach is cold at night. Same as the desert and we’re pretty close to both of those things. So I get my jacket weather when I can around here “ Lalita noted with a shrug before glancing back to her with a small smile. “ I think it’s not as hot as you’re making it seem to be out here. I wear my boots and tights all the time and it’s never bothered me? Only in the summer do I forget the tights” @adiletopal
"Oh that makes sense. I don't really leave my apartment past like 9pm, unless I'm going to a bar. And those are usually crowded." Sometimes she wished that she didn't hate the cold so much. "It's hot compared to where I grew up," she shrugged. "It snowed like all the time back where I am." Adile hummed. "Maybe you're just used to it."
[ TXT ] : how illegal would it be if i showed up with a raccoon in a cowboy hat? + robbie
Adile: It's only illegal if you stole the raccoon.
Adile: And don't tell me if you did or not because I have like $3 and I don't think that will cover bail.

"She wasn't afraid of adventure or try something that might fail. In fact, she loved to fail at something and try and try again until she succeeded. If I asked her to do something, she was right there by my side. The boy who broke my heart? She screamed at him at school the next day. She was right there by my side through the heartbreak. Stealing answers to a test we were going to fail? No questions asked, she was right there by my side. The limitations that my parents put on me, she never believed in. I aspire to be like that every day. I miss her every day and know that if she was still alive, she'd be here in Aurora Bay as my roommate getting into more trouble."
"Oh, no. I totally got in trouble for that. I spent most of my childhood grounded for something or another." Adile shrugged. If she wasn't doing the most then what was alive for?
"Here," she pulled up her phone and found a photo from her Facebook that she only kept to keep in contact with her parents. "This is before AI and I have no idea how Photoshop works nor do I have the money to pay someone to do that." She showed a picture of herself and her dad on the lawn.
"Swimming rules, but I'm so used to it always being cold from northern California that I've gotten super picky about it." Warm enough to not need a wetsuit? He was totally game.
"Do you try to get a whole day in at the beach then, when it's warm?" He tried to get there enough, but more in the early morning or later hours, when it wasn't either so roasting hot or so crowded. "Or break it up so you get a little bit every day and can get to your best lizard state," he teased.
"I don't think I could live anywhere cold. Or where I couldn't swim. The water might get cold here, but it's always good enough to swim in come end of spring through part of fall." She loved swimming too much to not want to swim al lthe time.
"The whole day? Nah. Typically get bored halfway through. I'll do a half a day and then find something else to do." She didn't like when the beach got crowded. "Walking around lets me sun too." Adile shrugged. "Depends on the day though."
Aeris can't help but make a face, his frown deepening. "Pass on swimming in the ocean. Everything about it is unappealing." And as she says, boring, which has him wonder why it's her go to. He doesn't care enough to ask further.
He draws in a deep breath to run through his mind all the things he usually does, his list coming up rather short. "Oasis, The Reef, bar hop on the boardwalk, or I stick home. Or get take-out." Barely does Aeris ever really sit down at a restaurant, he's too on to go for that. Not that he's particularly busy, he just would rather be anywhere other than under a low-light bulb listening to people and their inane chatter, and forks scraping against plates.
"Or I'm at work, but shop days are long days. Still weirdly fun time to time."
"But you live by the beach! And you don't want to swim in the ocean? That's wild." To her being by the ocean was an advantage. Maybe she'd been a fish in another life. There was something magical about the ocean to her.
"Mmmm. Interesting. I've never been a big drinker. I like to blame my bad decisions on my own stupid decisions. There's gotta be something you wanna try or do though. My own goal in life is to try something new every single day!"
Sometimes Adile forgot how weird she was. "I get that. I work a lot too, but I like my night shifts because it's a lot quieter."

🕷️ SPIDER - what is their biggest fear? do they have any irrational / mundane fears?
"Fears? I don't know. I've not really ever been afraid of anything normal. I don't really like the idea of being stagnant. I mean in a job that's fine I think, but I want to constantly be changing."
"No, that's still a good suggestion! Honestly the beach was one of the first things we did when we got here." Avery replied with a smile. "I grew up here, so I've always loved the beach. And now with my daughter, I'm hoping to turn her into a little fish too." She took in all the other suggestions then, nodding along. "Not too sure about bowling but we may hit up the arcade some time soon. And as for the lighthouse..."
Avery trailed off, wrinkling up her nose as she shook her head. She used to go there in high school with her friends, so the thought of taking her daughter who was barely out of her toddler years.. "The lighthouse will be on the back burner for now. Ice skating isn't a bad idea though! I hadn't thought of that."
"The beach is the best place here," she grinned. Adile spent too much time at the beach. Compared to some places, it was her favorite place to go. "I feel like that's probably pretty easy. I mean it's like the best place to go in town in my opinion." She loved the water. "I think my dad took me bowling for the first time when I was like five. I was never very good, I liked the arcade more." She was not very coordinated as a kid.
Adile knew that her childhood wasn't like other children's. She hated that she didn't get to do things that other kids her age got to do. "Ice skating is a lot of fun, but it's so cold. Guess that's nice for warmer weather though."
"Really?" Robbie asks. "I feel like everyone looks forward to the summer. Especially because of the beach."
It is why Aurora Bay gets all kinds of crazy in the summer months, packed with events and festivals, and Seascape ends up booked out entirely. The overage trickles to the motel, of course.
"I'm from Canada, so winter is out of the question. I think I'd be alright skipping another winter of snow." Dependent on his employment post graduation, that is. "Spring. It's not too hot and everything is coming to life, not that I don't like summer. There's plenty to do."
"No, no, no. Some people hate the hot weather. Especially when the hot weather is California summer hot weather." Although there were some places in California that weren't as hot during the summer. Still, Adile was one of those people that loved summer more than other seasons. "I like warm weather more."
Adile shifted. "Canada!? That's so far away from here." He'd probably told her that before, but Adile didn't pay attention to details. "Ohhhh, that's so far. Like all the flowers and stuff. You can always find little bird nests."

"Oh no, I'm definitely a summer person. I don't do very good in the cold, so bring on that sunshine and warm weather everyday." He'd put it down to being a man of the outdoors, but sometimes the weather would put him off his usual routine. He was grateful that he'd be able to maintain it in the next few months. "What about you? I mean, judging by what you've said, I'd say summer also?"
"I've always hated the cold too, so I get that." Some people were better with cold weather, but she had never been that way. Adile loved the heat. Warmer weather was easier for her anyways. She never understood why people liked the cold. Then again it was personal preference. "I think that's my favorite thing about moving here. It's so warm and you can basically walk on the beach all year. Though the water is a miss in the winter time."
Coming down to the beach was something that allowed Bradley to escape the noise of her life, the fresh air, the sound of life washing by, the way that issues seemed to leave themselves away from the water.
"I uh—" she half smiles, caught somewhat off guard by the question. Bradley didn't need to wait for the weather to give her a beach day, she could catch a charter jet to anywhere she wanted to go on a whim.
"I mean, who doesn't love the summer?" It opened up the opportunity for so many activities, people wanted to do things in summer - not that her calendar wasn't booked solid further out than she cared to check.
Lots of people hated summer because it was too hot. Especially in southern California where the weather was hot all year round and worse in the summer time. Adile had never been that kind of person. Sometimes she thought she must have been a fish in another life with how much she loved the ocean. She'd never forgive her parents for making her stay in DC when she could have been back in Turkey at the beach.
"My best friend hated summer. That was the one real difference between us. Where as I was content sunbathing on the beach, she was more at home on a ski slope. I can't stand cold weather." Not mentioning that cold weather hurt her bones.
