I had this evil idea of a drone Tessa au where Tessa comes back years later and she has a horrible time because N and V are older and different people than she remembered (N and Uzi even had a child!), J had a character arc and managed to finally move on from Tessa's death and reconnect with her former friends and now that Tessa is back she doesn't want to even see her because she has finally become a better person and is terrified that she'll go back to be the drone that she was before Cyn's defeat (Cyn used J's affection for Tessa to manipulate her into becoming the worst version of herself) and Tessa still has all the trauma. Basically the core theme of my AU is: "Everyone grew up and changed while you remained the same, and even if some of your friends still want to be close to you they are different people now and you cannot relate to them anymore). Also the only person you can connect with is too afraid to hurt everyone again because she blames you for something that wasn't even your fault in the first place and this only keeps hurting both of you."

It honestly baffles me how people prioritize Cyn over Tessa. I see it most often with folks trying to blame Tessa or say she’s a bad person for so obviously not liking Cyn, but like. It’s CYN.
