avenginglostâ:
Steve couldnât believe his eyes, the world seemed far too quiet for its own good, causing him to become hyper-aware of everything else. walking further through, Steve spotted a woman, a blue woman, crumple to the floor. Rushing over to her, he tried to support her with his own weight, dropping to his knees.
âI got you, I got-â his breath hitched as he saw the files, some of them propped open after falling and giving the details of her despair. âWhatâs your name? Iâm Steve, Steve Rogers â Iâm going to help you, Iâm not going to fight youâŚI⌠I knew Charles.â
He swallowed thickly as he tried to assess her face. âWhat happened? Where are we?â He asked, glancing around, turning his attention back onto her.
Her breathing was loud and heavy, and even if her hands covered her face and the rushing tears going down her cheeks.. Well, it was quite clear what was up. She was crying, guilt weighing heavily on her shoulders while despair circled in her gut. These files, all people she clearly knew, were gone- in the worst way possible.Â
She did not seek comfort that was there with Steve dropping down beside her, and instead, just moved to open some files. Mainly, to get Charlesâs out in the open so she didnât need to trip over her words. Breathing was messy enough as it was right now, no need to try and get the spoken word into the mess.Â
Beside, she had no answer to where they were. What happened. The only information was the all too real files in front of her.
