i often see people draw Nightmare with the classic cool-evil-villain smile. i wonder if this is based on a reason canonly stated?? if so, PLEAASEE tell me!! and then consider what follows a little headcanon of mine XD

Im sure Nightmare can feel pleasure and vindication and stuff (just less because of all the apples(?)) but i just don't think he would feed into it with physical expression. when people see a smile, it makes them feel better, even if marginally. i think he would walk around looking annoyed, even if it doesnt match the situation. THAT would spread negativity much easier.

i think he would only show some teeth if; he was alone, if there was so much negativity around that a little smile would be negligible, or if it looked CRAZY and would scare people (especially if hes been looking pissed for months)

I don't know the context to this drawing. Im pretty sure i knew of error sans but this seems to have NOTHING to do with him. I dunno guys my memory is terrible. This couldnt have been earlier than 2017, based on the art style. That's all I know. I have no memory of drawing this or thinking of this story XD

Reading the notes for what I thought the AUs would be is actually super entertaining! I think I'll continue writing down my hypothesis for AUs before I read them so I can look at it afterward... I'm just not going to make a whole comic out of them LMAO

My Error guess was interesting, considering he died so early we never got to explore the WeirdError version of him XD.

It was going to be a thing that Cross's weakness in battle was that he had too many long ass internal monologues. Just standing there, thinking... but he was never written in battle so that was never shown.

Toby fox was an interesting choice LMAO I mostly thought that as a joke and that's why I changed it to the royal guard later on. WHY DID I NEVER WRITE HIS GUN!? that wouldve been funny af

Core frisk was going to be in weirdtale!? Well I thought about it but I couldnt find a way to fit them into the story. I also couldnt come up with anything good besides the fact they fell in the core, which was the downfall for a LOT of intended characters. I remember thinking that everybody in Reapertale was ALSO a grim reaper or a demon except for Toriel. My reasoning for that was because my sister said something about sans × toriel being done best in reapertale, so I assumed they must be opposites LOL

There was going to be a running gag where Weird sans would guess every sanses name, surprisingly getting them right most of the time besides random EGREGIOUS ones. This was only done once: "let me guess. Error sans?" Before I kind of... took a year break and thought the idea was dumb.

its so... weird... how in some parts im almost cooking and then i say shit like "his opponent must always be moving" and it makes you realize how little i knew LMAO Then the magic staff... that was going to be a big deal between dream and nightmare as they had to steal the staff from eachother, but I couldnt find a place to fit it in the story. Dream was also meant to be SUPER distrustful of Weird because he said that nightmare was "his kind of guy". The plot moved too fast and back then, I'll be honest, I didnt mind If WeirdTale was poorly written. Nowadays it's my biggest fixation and I really try to make everything make sense.

At some point I might write my current understanding of each character and have you guys criticize it? That would be pretty embarrassing lmao but i can just think of it like I'm a student being graded. UTMV COLLEGE!

Royal Blue actually is my second ever sans au!! He's the sweetest guy ever, and Royal Red is his fell version

Aw what the heck I love him X3 Fell versions of anything are always amazing, I love a good edge. WeirdTale is also my second ever sans au! Most of my AUs were of FNAF, because that was easier to write. the animatronics didnt have set personalities. Actually when i first heard "Undertale AU" i was like "there can be AUs of stories other than FNAF?!" which is so funny lol

I finally caught up on Unlesstale!! I also read shadowlovers other story, Dreamtale: My Only Friend. Let me tell you, I RARELY ship characters, I dont have a shipping bone in my body.... but dang I kinda ship sans and kathy... this one might be wild but also kathy and alphys LOL

I was doodling scenes alongside reading so I could slow down and remember things better. Im gonna do that with every story bc I have a tendency to read too fast. So I'll have to reread ask error and I'll do this with horrortale too, which I'm learning next. I'm not too confident I got the designs right but oh well. I love how papyrus just picks people up XD also I imagine sans closet is just jammed full of the exact same jacket

i think im going to use Error's original design in weirdtale instead of the lucida one. i used a brush in mspaint simply titled "brush" to give the white spots around the outline. i might always use "brush" for Errors lineart simply because i think it looks more chopped and glitchy? tell me if you disagree with that decision lol

inks design is going to change in the final episode as well to actually be canon lolz. i was allowed to search up their designs, but i lacked the context to know which was actually real, plus i misunderstood inks jacket situation. it was a white undershirt the whole time?! XD
