Want to dive into the comics for Batman and his five main Robins but don't know where to start?

Here's a small reading order with the absolute basics for getting started with each character :)

(For the Robins this list will only cover them during their time as Robin with the only exception being if they appear in another Robin's run) ((This is also exclusively post-crisis))

Bruce Wayne/Batman :

Batman : The Knight (2022) - Bruce's origin as Batman.

Batman : Year One (Batman Vol. 1 #404-407) - Bruce's first year as Batman.

Batman : The Long Halloween (1996) - Classic detective story which set's up for Dick's origin in the sequel.

Dick Grayson/The First Robin/Nightwing :

Batman : Dark Victory (1999) - Sequel to TLH and still Batman centric but includes an introduction of Dick Grayson and his origin as the first Robin.

Robin & Batman (2021) - A modern retelling of some of Bruce and Dick's first days as the dynamic duo.

Robin : Year One (2000) - Some battles from Dick's first year as Robin with Batman.

Batman and Robin : Year One (2024) - Another retelling of Dick's first year as Batman's partner (currently ongoing).

Jason Todd/The Second Robin/Red Hood :

Batman Vol. 1 #408-411 - How Dick 'gave up' the Robin mantle and Jason took it on.

Batman Vol. 1 #416 - Dick and Jason's first meeting + first team up as Nightwing and Robin.

Death in the Family (Batman Vol. 1 #426-429) - The death of Jason Todd.

Year Three (Batman Vol. 1 #436-439) - Nightwing returning to Gotham to help a grieving Bruce deal with Jason's death.

Tim Drake/The Third Robin/Red Robin :

A Lonely Place in Dying (Batman Vol. 1 #440-442; The New Titans #60-61) - Tim's first appearance and first time fighting as Robin alongside Batman and Nightwing.

Batman Vol. 1 #455-457 - Tim grieving his mother with Bruce and Dick + Tim getting his iconic Robin suit.

Robin Vol. 1 #123-126 - Tim quitting Robin and Steph taking it on.

Stephanie Brown/Spoiler/Batgirl III/The Fourth Robin :

Steph's Robin run was short and during the Batman: War Games event so I'm just going to list every issue of that she was a main/supporting character in order of release :)

Damian Wayne/The Fifth Robin :

Batman & Son (Batman Vol. 1 #655-658) - Introduction to Damian Wayne, important to note that Grant Morrison made a gross retcon of Talia Al Ghul's character by painting her as a rapist so caution when reading.

Batman and Robin (2009) - Damian's first time acting as Robin alongside Dick Grayson's Batman as Bruce is 'dead'.

Batman and Robin (2023) - Great series on Damian's time as Robin alongside Bruce as Batman (currently ongoing).

In between Batman and Robin (2009) and Batman and Robin (2023) there's a lot of stuff with Batman vs. Robin and the Lazarus Planet storyline that I think is best to skip due to the writing not being the best, to keep this list short and to the point, and just to avoid confusion really but by all means read those if you really want to.
