Wherever do you find such lovely red leather? I cannot seem to find any type of leather stiff enough to make pouches, much less in a roll, and never in red! Do you mind sharing your secret?
Sure! I actually get most of my leather from Colorado Leather Goods largely because I grew up in the area and I’m able to visit and pick out leather in person when I visit my family.
But the staff there are very knowledgeable, the prices are very reasonable and they’re happy to ship the leather. When I last visited in December, they still had the type of red leather I bought, so you could probably call them up if you’re looking for that specifically!
Another option is to buy unfinished leather in a neutral color and stain or paint it (I highly recommend angelus leather paints) I also understand that Tandy leather is a popular place to get leather, so check and see if there’s one in your area if you haven’t already. Hope that helps!
